Where in Oklahoma? I hunt NE Oklahoma, 15 miles or so from Arkansas stateline. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
Corn and wheat belt, great area of OK for deer. Sent from my Lone Wolf treestand using Bowhunting.com Forums
Back in the blind for the evening nice and early, unfortunately won’t get to hunt at all this weekend since I have to run a CWD check station, but making OT wage to look at deer all day isn’t the worst thing in the world. Hope I can get it done soon! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
My vacation came and went. I had a nock blow up on a really nice 8 and my arrow went right under him. I saw a lot of good bucks. Passed and a couple great up and comers. Only reason I didn’t tag out was because of my self. I’ll still get out a few more times for sure. Wife’s birthday is today so I’ll have to wait till the long weekend next week. Sittin here at the check station, it’s real slow and my tactacam is blowing up with deer in front of my blind right now. I sure wish I was there, but then again a 30 hour weekend of OT will look nice on the paystub! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Around Bartlesville. It's on the Oklahoma/Kansas border. You're welcome to come join me and my buddy if you want. Hunting public and one small private piece. Got to be careful cause I think rifle season will be in.
Thanks for the offer. I hunt with Cherokee Nation lands without having to by out of state license. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

The best time you can spend. Shoot straight and have fun Gracie! Sent from my Lone Wolf treestand using Bowhunting.com Forums
That’s what it’s all about! I’ve seen a lot of kids come through the check station and it definitely makes my day to see them learning the tradition!
We saw 10 or 12 deer. All but one were on the wrong side of the stand for Gracie to get a shot. A six point came out on her side at 200 yards. A little too far for a novice shooter. Tried grunting at him to close the distance, no luck. I did kill an 8pt in Oklahoma with a rifle Sunday morning. I was disappointed with ground shrinkage but he'll eat well. On the plus side, I'll be bowhunting Thanksgiving morning and rest of the season in Oklahoma. My son saw an absolute monster, just couldn't get a shot. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
Well my unfortunate season continued last weekend. Opening of rifle but I still went out with the bow, had my #2 buck come out at 35 yards about 45 minutes after shooting light in the morning. All he had to do was walk anywhere but where he did. This was the same buck I had an encounter with a couple weeks ago at about the same distance but he was behind brush then too. This buck just knows where to go to stay alive I guess.
It’s the meat goggles. Once you take them off the antlers get smaller. ROFL! Sent from my Lone Wolf treestand using Bowhunting.com Forums
