They're very cool looking. That was the number one animal I wanted to get and I did! I was the only one to see a shooter kudu the whole time we hunted, so id say I got pretty lucky. The animals were huge, I've only hunted whitetail so going over there and having an 1800 pound eland 15 yrds from me was a shock. Especially from the pit blinds we hunted in.
That's great man! Sounded like an awesome trip. That's one I've always dreamed of. That buck looks nice, I hope you take him out!
bootlegtater, Enjoy your 2 week vacation and best of luck putting a big one down! Keep us posted if you can.
Goodness!!!! Those are 2 good lookin' wall hangers there! I hope you give one of them a dirt nap. Son of a ....... I'm going to stop typing now because I can't think straight.
Well guys, a little over a month ago i went and purchased the mathews creed xs. it was a great little bow but i could never get it to shoot the way i wanted it to and i was not happy that it wouldn't shoot slick trick broad heads good and straight. So.... today i went to the local shop i bought it at and to my amazement they gave me a total refund and i am now a proud owner of a bow tech RPM 360. this thing is a beast, got it all set up and got it home and starting shooting and within 10 minutes i had robin hooded an arrow. whisper quiet, crazy smooth draw, great KE, and FAST. Im a sold American for this bow! ready to put some meat on the ground with it, we have a front moving in this weekend and temps will be 10 degrees cooler next week, time to get a deer on the ground and some points on the board. Happy hunting fellas!
BigPhil_H, what parts of central NC are you hunting? I grew up in Wilmington, NC and went to college in Wilm and Greensboro. I duck hunted a ton with friends near Raleigh, falls lake, jordan lake but never hunted deer out that way during school.
I have properties that I hunt that range from Fuquay, to Harnet county, Creedmoor, Chapel Hill, Durham and Hillsborough. A lot of acreage but not enough time, money and resources to efficiently scout them all so I tend to stick with the ones that are closer to me because they are more convenient as a college student.
That's pretty cool to think about that I am duck hunting the same lakes as a fellow team member did years ago though
Sounds like you have a great bow shop. I just ordered my first Bowtech yesterday myself. The Insanity CPXL at 70lb. Looking for a great shooting bow. I hope this will be it. I like the ones I have now but I guess I just want to see what else is out there.
Well my season is less then a week away. I can't wait. Stands are all good to go and feeders all full. It's just a matter of time until the arrows start flying and the veins are blowing blood. Good luck everyone! Who season is already going or when do they start.
I posted it on the official scoreboard... Unfortunately I didn't have anyone to take pics for me...so the pics are pretty crappy
Man that's great! It's always nice to get the first one down for the season. Takes a little pressure off. I can't wait to get out. Next Sunday will be bow season eve for me! You after the big boy now?
