LA is over 400 miles and 6 hours away for me. I appreciate the encouragement but I'm not going that far for a doe. Although I did submit my score sheet and scored us 93 points.
Just posted a buck to the scoreboard. nothing big, just a fergie clause buck but he got my heart pumping!
I got a buck Sunday morning at 7:30. It all happened fast! He was 20 yards behind me & coming on a course to pass me off to my right at 5 yards when I spotted him. I hate that close of a shot. As soon as I saw him I told myself I was going to take him. So I didn't pay much attention to his antlers after that. I had to stand, draw, get myself lined up & stop him in a blink of an eye it seemed like. I made the shot & he went down in sight about 60 yards away. There was a little ground shrinkage but I'm very happy with him. I have him in my cooler now. Going to cut him up Tuesday morning & score him then. Not much room in my cooler to be scoring one. I'll post him to the scorecard at that time. Good luck out
Great Bucks Z7 and Scowd!!!! Congratulations. I shot my buck on Saturday. Will post pics and scorecard tonight or tomorrow. Not big but he's mine
Just posted my buck to the scorecard. Shot him Saturday morning. He walked right in broadside at 12 yards. Scored 103 3/8. Wife shot her first buck the next morning so our freezers are jammed packed.
Nice work boys! Both are great looking bucks! And congrats to the wife as well Scowd! Points on the board and meat in the freezer is a beautiful thing!
shot a nice buck last week, guess I got too antsy by pulling the trigger on the small buck i posted. I love bowhunting though!
Nice work man and great filming! I love those lighted nocks in the evening! He'll still give the team another 50 points no matter what!
Been a long slow season, lots of hours in stand but no deer to be found except on my cameras... with season coming to an end I had this doe come in and give me a perfect 20 yard shot, right in the boiler room, didn't go more than 30 yards. Got some meat on the table and points for us. Still a little time left to get it done, see if I can't make it happen with a big boy.
Yes I'm still alive, sorry haven't been too active on here or in the woods for that matter. Our late bow season did start 12/01/2014 so I hope to get a few sits in. The area I have to hunt late isn't known for giants even though I have seen a few over the years. It generally holds a bunch of scrub 5-7 pointers, spikes, and a few decent 6 & 8's. I will likely shoot the first non button head/spike that gives me a good shot. Good luck everyone still plugging away and I'll keep you posted.
