The buck is a bit outside ears and fairly tall. The young buck I hope grows a lot in next several years. Good pic of mom with her fawns.

 

I was hoping to get Mr. Big on there.

 

I did get my double set up and put new card in camera.

 

This guys on my local hitlist. We call him "Claw Daddy". He eluded me all last year. Hoping for a shot this year.

I have to set up two more stands yet. I have just not been able to prep for season this year like I should have. Too much going on with family that takes first priority. I am going to take tomorrow in the projected 95* heat to get 'er done. One ladder I have to carry in half a mile as the crop isn't off yet. Then another hang on I can haul with the 4 wheeler. Full day I am guessing as I'll be pulling trailcam cards as well. Hope to catch a few more views of the few decent bucks in the area.

Still two guys to check in. I see Fitz is looking for the captains though. So Justin, I saw only approvals, if you are still willing to serve you could give Fitz the heads up.

BTW Justin, Congrats on the wedding! May you enjoy many years in a wonderful marriage.

 

I'm good with Justin being captain but he would choose to decline, I'll throw my name in there.

 

I have to work 7 days straight at 12 hour shifts so I will check in on my breaks.

 

Trail cam check was a fail. Didnt really get anything so Im going to change location and let it sit. Ive been checking them too often recently.

Leaving for my vacation tomorrow morning so won't be posting as much.

Finally got a cam out on the lease today. I'll let it sit for a week then do a pull. Some real nice dear were takin from adjacent properties last season, so I'm hoping for some decent pics come next weekend.

 

hey guys. going to get out and pull chips this week. have had the coverts out for the last 3 weeks since my last card pull. have had some dandys show up so far. here are a couple I've got. first couple are from a card pull earlier this month. last couple are from after gun season last year. hoping they have stayed in the area.

 

Some nice headgear there. Have you seen the one from pic #4 this year? I'd really like to get one with tall tines like that. Just can't find any around here.
