    Thanks guys!

This morning was perfect. Rain through the night with a cold front that followed. I new the bucks would be hitting scrapes at a stand I call "Rut Ridge". This is the same stand I shot my buck out of last year. It's a ridge top connecting two bedding areas together. After first light it started to drizzle rain. Around 7:30 I heard a buck hitting one of the scrapes to my back left. Once finished he started heading to another scrape on a trail that would put the buck at 30yds walking past me. A quick "murrp" stopped him perfectly for the shot and I sent the G5 Striker on hits way. The hit entered back lung and exited mid lung. Even with an almost perfect hit, the buck managed to make it 200yds before expiring.

He is a main frame 10 with a base kicker on each side giving him 12 scoreable points. He should be in the high 130's low 140's. I'll put the tape to him tomorrow along with submitting him in the scoring thread.

Hey guys quick update: Arrowed a buck tonight, Paunch hit, he went around 30 yards, bedded down. The over the course of the next twenty minutes got up and re-bedded 3 times. final time it was more of a flop than bed. They aren't calling for rain, the low tonight is 22 or so. Gonna give him the night to expire. Hunt in the morning, and then go get him. Will update you all tomorrow.

    Congrats PA and Cowboy!!!

This weekend was tough for me. Friday was nothing but wind which really just burnt me out for the weekend. Hunted Saturday and today as well but still just does/small bucks. I really don't think the Rut is in full effect here, a lot of small bucks are starting to just now rub and make scrapes. Hunted over a nice rub tonight but no buck.

This Saturday is the last day for bow until the rifle/bow season after Thanksgiving. If I start to see more signs of the rut Ill probably take off this Friday as well and hunt every afternoon this weekend.

Good luck to the rest of you fellas that are still out there. Can't wait to see where we stand after Fitz updates the scores. :tu:

well guys he is not one of my big bucks, but he is a 3.5 yr old that I call re-turd, cause well the pictures will be obvious. I was hoping my wife would shwack him. But he wasn't going by me. won't score alot of points, but i am happy to know he isn't going to breed anymore of my doe's.... Introducing RE-TURD! [IMG]
