Came close the other day to getting a shot on film of doe but no cigar. Here is a big buck from fellow pro staffer Jimmy Doherty from Kindred Spirit Outdoors.[IMG]

Well guys the trip down to Illinois was a great time. Had an absolute blast. The hunting was tough because of the moon and all the corn still standing. I seen some real monsters but nothing I could get a shot at. However I did manage to harvest a younger buck so I didn't come home empty handed. Not the P&Y I wanted but a great hunt for sure. Haven't scored it yet but I'm hoping for 100 points. [IMG]

WTG guys! Great job Jim and Jimmy!

The bucks sure are starting to move and scrapes are real hot right now. Passed up on a 125ish 10pt at 10yds Friday evening. It's early and there are a few bigger bucks I am after. One of my buddies and lease member shot Fatty Saturday evening. We decided to leave him over night and pick up the track this morning. After a quick track job we found him. Should be in the 130's and dressed out at 195lbs.

Umpire Jim, the time of kill is needed on your score card for your doe. Fitz will add the points once time is added. Thanks!

Guys, 3 1/2 more days and I'll be off for 9 1/2 days straight! Movement is really heating up and if the weather stays cool it should be perfect. I still don't have a for sure target buck yet, but I have a feeling the older camera shy bucks are going to let loose soon.

Jim, any idea what that buck scored? He's very similar to the Spike buck I have pictures of.

well guys the forecast calls for a NE wind tomorrow morning for me and a low of 22 degrees! can you say deer down! that is the absolute perfect wind for my best rut stand which sets on a 40 acre parcel that hasn't been hunted all year. to make things better the guys hunted all weekend on the 80 to the north which means all those deer should be on my place! oh baby! I can hardly wait for day break! the moon will be overhead at 9:30 am which should cause two hours of movement! tomorrow will be a hunt I won't soon forget!

Well, I have been out of the stand for over a week. It is colder and the wind is right for a good evening and morning sit. I'll be in my blind by 3:30 this afternoon and if no deer is down tonight I'll be back in it before shooting light in the morning. I'm hoping the bucks are moving a bit more now. I can't hunt the rifle season on the land I have access to so i need to get some quality time in this week or it's back out there after the Orange Blast is done. Best of luck to you all. I hope to contribute something this week.

well had a awesome set, saw at least 7 bucks all chasing. one was probably 120 ish 8 pt, i couldn't put him at older than 2.5 which makes him an amazing deer for that age. But he got my heart rate up for sure! nice 8 inch tines and at least 16 wide, his frame looks awesome coming in! we will see what he blows up into next year! will be setting again to night, east wind is perfect for almost every stand I have! the preacher done lost his rocker and has gone deer crazy, don't worry though folks he will return after the rut! lol

Good luck PA sounds like perfect conditions.

Old Man hope a good one comes by ya before the Orange army is out. They are here now until November 6th. But the 3300 acre place I hunt won't have any hunters but me and the rifle guys will only chase more in there. Can't wait for the rut to hit hard here looks a couple weeks off

Thanks! If I did everything correctly we'll be adding 101 5/8 points to our score.
