Deer was shot 9/14/2013 @6:55am. got in stand at 5:30 am this morning with a good feeling as the weather was perfect, little wind and cold. 6:45 i saw my first deer a 4 pt and 2 does i passed the buck and had no shots at the doe. 5 minutes later i had 5 does come out right in front of me and i picked the biggest one and let the arrow fly. shot looked great and the deer took off and i thought i heard what sounded like her crashing. 5 minutes are that 4 more deer from my left came in and one was a basket 8pt which i also passed. after that i had 3-4 more come in from in front of me all does and finally one more doe walked from behind right underneath the stand and all of this happened between 6:45 and 7:30!!! it was a very action packed morning. the bow i shoot is a 2013 Elite Answer which i absolutely love. arrows are Easton Axis 340's with a Rage broadhead on it. i shoot a Archer Extreme Primal 5 sight and use a Dead Center dead level stabilizer. on the recovery i had almost no blood due to a high double lung that filled the cavity deer only ran 50yds though. here are some pics, sorry for no field shots but i had no one to take them for me. enjoy!!!

Nice doe, sounded like a great day for you. Make sure you post that in the scorecard when you get the chance. :tu:

    I feel the same....

I'll be checking a couple cams tomorrow or Wednesday. Hopefully I will have some good update pics. It's been slow the past couple weeks.

I set out a camera in a pretty good spot. Deer are hanging out in the feed fields then coming out at dark. After they cut feed ill get a lot more pictures. Been shooting my bow quite a bit every evening and ready for season to get here.

    Good luck guys

With these chilly temps we could be slamming them.

It gets into the low 40s here at night. Should make for some good morning hunts. Afternoons still get warn though. Supposed to be windy all week so I'll wait for this weekend to get out. Saturday morning should be a good one.

I totally agree. I only hunt early season mornings if the temps are right and they are perfect right now...

Checked a couple cams yesterday with nothing much to brag about. Bunch of does and 1-2 1/2 yr old bucks. Moved two cams to see if I can catch one of the big boys hanging out closer to their bedding areas. Checking a few more cams at the lease this weekend.
