My biggest buck so far. Shot him 45 minutes into opening morning two years ago. Not the biggest out there but i was sure proud of him. Also dont see too many bucks out there with a brow tine growing straight down to there skull and curvin out off of it! Pretty neat

I shoot fish and deer that think they are fish.:cry::cry:

That must be why that buck deep-sixed himself, he figured if I shot him, he must be a carp. Or maybe it was a werefishdeer.

Thanks for rubbing salt into my still raw wound Dan. sniff.. You bassturd. cry....

Yeah, I hit that buck too far back, in the liver. But I saw blood right when the arrow hit and I saw blood pumping out of him as he ran off.. so I wasn't too worried about finding him. But we gave him several hours just in case. So then we followed the blood trail right to where he fell in the river. And as far as I know, he's still in the river. We think he sank while we were waiting to recover him. We took a canoe out and poked around the log jams but the river was up and the current was downright dangerous.

He was a huge bodied buck and at least 140", probably more. I blame Dan. And JMbuckhunter. (because I can) :D

Hopefully, I'll have a little bit better luck this season.

I remember your story last year Christine. I can tell you one thing, I have a ton of respect for you, the way and the time you put in looking for that deer was incredible.

Thanks! I was down at that stretch of river last week. I walked along the banks a bit. The river is really low now, barely moving and probably only about 6 or 7 feet deep in the holes. I hoped that maybe I'd be able to spot some bones in the logjams but the water was muddy and almost stagnant. Visibility was about 2". Very depressing.

I also walked through hundreds of yards of stinging nettle. In shorts. I'd call it hardcore but really, it was just dumb. lol.

Hi all, my name is Mike, I'm married and have 4 kids. My oldest is 25 and my youngest is 17. I own some property in northern lower Michigan where I'll be hunting this year. After being out of bow hunting for the last 12 yrs to coach my sons in football, I'm finally getting back into it and I'm so dang excited. Went out and bought a new bow and all the gadgets and have been practicing like crazy to become proficient at shooting it. Good luck my fellow team mates and above all else, stay safe!! Huddy Hunter...
