great looking buck there. I'm hoping to get out tonight, but it depends on when my plumbers gets out here to help run waterlines. I'd kiss the day off, but I just can't tdo that this time of year...

    Congrats on the Buck Ricmur!

I set up a mock scrape in the area of one of my stands not far from a scrape line made by a buck. I checked the scrape a few times and it's always open (no leaves) so a buck is using it. I looked around yesterday and found atleast 5 trees the size of a 2 litre bottle all tore up in that area that weren't there a few days ago. I either got a buck really agitated or I just happen to be in his core area. I put a camera on the scrape and will check it on my next hunt at that stand. Probably not for a few days to let things cool down after being in there yesterday.

I'm hoping it's the decent 10 point we have pics of or maybe even a bigger buck.

Keeping my fingers crossed. Been seeing alot of bucks, just nothing I want to shoot yet.

Got a buck down last night...Not huge! but a mature deer. My camera flash wouldn't work so I had a buddy take pics and waiting on an email from him so I can get it posted.

I saw alot of activity last night starting at about 5:30. Had a doe come through behind me and she was followed by a small 4 point and the 8 point I shot.

I heard the Buck before I saw him back in the thicket snort wheezing and chasing around the smaller buck. The doe came behind my stand at 30 yards and immediately looked up into my treestand. I had the tree between us so she never spooked, but she was smart and knew something wasn't right. She took a few steps back into the thicket and the 8 point stepped out to my right, ears back, all puffed up and started trashing a tree.

I looked to the west and saw another buck heading toward my stand and looking like he wanted a piece of the bigger buck. After a few snorts back and forth and some tree trashing the 7 point thought better of a confrontation and headed off to where he came from. Then a small spike on one side and 3 point on the other came a bit too close and the 8 point chased him off. I had my movie camera but had too many eyes to try and get it out.

It was a sight to see. 5 bucks and a doe in a 15 minute span. Every one of those bucks were grunting at one time or another. Finally after considering whether or not to shoot the 8 point his aggressiveness towards the others helped me make up my mind and also after passing other bucks all season I decide to let an arrow fly.

I sent the G5-T3 broadhead 19 yards his direction hit him I thought too far forward and looked like I may have hit the opposite shoulder as the arrow didn't go through him. I watched the luminock travel with him as he ran back into the thicket. I saw blood pumping as he ran,but was unsure of the penetration. I waited on stand until dark and then headed to the impact spot and found good blood immediately. I decided to give him time and went out to the truck. I went to the archery shop to wait 2 hours before going to look for him.

I got a friend to head out and help me search, but it turns out he only went 60 yards and expired within minutes. I got to him 2 1/2 hours after the shot and he was already stiff. I'll get pics and a score as soon as I get them emailed to me. Like I said he's not ging to bring a ton of points, but I'm happy he's atleast got a little age to him.
