Lol, she jerked around just as I released the arrow. Hit her way back. Went and looked for her after an hour but seen she wasn't dead yet so backed out and waited a few hours. She stayed put.

Yes that picture is acceptable! Your equipment and you have to be in it. As long as you have those elements you can have anything or anyone else in the picture!

Well I am in the process of packing my gear for tonight and was making sure my camera battery was charged so I could film tonight and the screen is messed up. The menu and everything work but it isn't making the correct picture. Only colorful lines running across it and bright lights when I aim it at a light. There goes self filming this year in afraid.

Well boys, I made it back from South Dakota, but once again empty handed. That place is a truly amazing place to hunt, but extremely challenging. Seeing big bucks is one thing, but covering 500-2000 yards to get them in bow range is another. I had one chance to shoot an ancient 9 point but 300 yards from him was a huge droptine buck that we were much more eager to try and kill but neither scenario worked, and we never saw either again for the rest of the trip.
We saw lots of mule deer but they were either on the private land, or we would make out stalk and get 200 yards out and they would jump the fence.
My buddy ended up shooting a nice 3 yr old 8 point whitetail so we didn't come home completely fruitless.

Also got the check trail cameras and didn't have anything terribly exciting on them, but a few new 2 and 3 yr olds hanging around, so maybe things will change for the better.

Way to get some does on the ground gentlemen, things are looking up!

I'm back from Kentucky...Spent the weekend scouting elk for my wife's hunt in 2 weeks. The weather here isn't great for hunting. I will be sitting observation stands this week in the evening until Friday when a cold front hits

Just pretend you're on the Realtree team. Then you can say "I hit just a little back." Heck, if you were Tyler Jordan you can hit them in the hindquarter and the shot is still "just a little back". :)

I know the feeling of making a bad hit, but you got her. Congratulations on the doe!
