Team 11 Bucks before Does

For the past two years it is the only way I seem to be getting big bucks and that is on my camera!

Anyone else having a slow season? This time last year I was done for the year. Not seeing any bucks......

 

Yes I am too! I got one doe with shotgun Friday and the movement was really slow all weekend!

 

My brothers daughter got a deer tonight and I am going to help pay for the Taxidermist bill! It is a nice one but to bad she got it with her car!

Well went out tonight and did not see a single deer. On the bright side of things I got these trail cam pics! The big 8 is new to the area. He must of took Shanks spot since he is dead!

 

Well I hate to say this guys but I'm officially out for the entire season! My shoulder has not got any better and I'm scheduled for surgery Dec 3rd. :-( They are not sure what is wrong but they are going in to find out and fix everything they do find. I could be out for as much as 6 months or more depending what is wrong. Sorry for not being able to help out the team guys. Good luck to everyone and great job to those who have already filled a tag! I guess I can try again next year.

Sorry about that Firefighter! Hope all goes well and will be thinking of you buddy. I will be right behind you with my wrist surgery but not sure when I will be doing it. CT scans are next then go from there.

 

Here is my nieces road kill buck when I dropped it off to the taxidermist. My dad and I are getting it mounted for her since she was wanting it on the wall.

 

I am not sure who has the Voo Doo Doll that is wishing all these bad things to happen to me while hunting, but you need to STOP! Ok here is todays story! I had two does come in right at shooting light. I drew back on one of the does when she was at 15 yards. Next thing I know my arrow is falling off my bow. I did not know what was going on. I looked at my bow and here is the knock on my string and the arrow gone. I somehow pulled the knock out of my arrow. I then sat the rest of the day seeing nothing. Then I lowered my bow to get down and the next thing I know I hear blowing by a whitetail deer. Here was an 8 point buck watching me undo my safety harness. Off he went after that. Who ever I made mad I am SORRY!

 

i havent been out hunting in a week and a half, im dying to get out there, hopefully sunday brings me good luck!

 

I will be out next weekend and cant wait. I moved my stand to a tree with more cover. That should help me since the deer were spotting me in the other tree. Good luck! I have three tags to fill yet.

Went out today and not one deer seen! On a bright side of things is that Forky is still walking!

 

I haven't been out for the last 2 weeks due to having the flu.

I have been skunked too. I will not get out today but will be out in the morning before my doctor visit to see if surgery is needed or not. Here is the two scoring sheets for Pope & Young:
