ill beat you to the woods, hahah i cant believe the one day ive been thinking about since dec. 31 is finally tomorow! ill be waking up at 3:30 im going to be on stand round 5:30ish in my climber, then get out around 11:15 go to the diner hopefully with some deer in the back, then gettin back and headed to my hangon around 2 hopefully some buck action good luck to all of you!

Just shot a buck. He's not a giant but its my first and it looked like a good shot. Got my boys coming to help track him. Back later with an update.
Got to sneak out last night for a hunt and saw two does one was a huge one. The huge doe had me pegged before I saw her. She was downwind and kept tossing her head up trying to wind me. She knew something was not right and kept looking right at me. She stomped a few times then walked off with not letting me grab my bow. It is still early so I have plenty of time. I am downloading pictures and videos so I hope to post some pictures tonight when I get home from work.
Got in the stand yesterday around 1245 and saw nothing but squirrels all day. Just before dark I had a group of 4 or 5 bucks come in. The first was a young 6 point. The way he came in he was going to wind me if he continued on the same path but luckily he turned and walked right under my stand. After about 5 minutes a bigger 8 point came in and presented me with a perfect quartering away shot. The shot looked good so I called the wife and asked her to bring my boys down to help me track him. It didn't take long as he only went about 50 yards before dropping. That bloodrunner cut both lungs nearly in half. I'll post in the scoring section as soon I as figure out the score. He's not huge but I'm happy with him.
Very Nice!! I got in my stand Monday morning at 6:30 am and got down at 7:30 pm. Sat out there all day. I had 2 really big does come in and was at full draw with both. Had perfect shots but I did not take them as they had little ones with them and they were just a tad too small. Did not feel comfortable about it. Heading back out on friday and the rest of the weekend. Also I caught a poacher sunday night and got the DNR involved!

Jumping in the shower to head out to hunt so we will see what is going on. Hope something moves. Drizzle rain here right now and say 30% chance for showers so bring on the deer.
