Season opens the 1st of Oct. With what I have going on and lack of practice, I will likely not be hunting until the last weekend of Oct. Spent the weekend removing siding from my house for an insurance claim. Then we plan on putting house on market, so that means might be moving in Oct, lol. Finally got to shoot my bow for the first time in awhile this weekend. Everything still dialed in and making no changes from last years setup so pretty straight forward. Although I still am using sharpie marks on by sight tape since I never seem to have time to make it out to 60 yards to dial everything in to install correct tape (single pin sight). I usually shoot 30 yards and under anyways so not that big of deal. Used the sharpie marks last year, can use them again this year, lol Some great looking bucks you guys have on camera. Good luck!
My game zone doesn’t open until October 1st my see if my brother will let me try to kill a doe over at his place after September 15 it opens there then Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I've been out a few times but nothing came in. September 15th is when the public season opens up. I'll be headed out on the 16th as long as the wma I like to hunt is open. I hope everybody is able to take a doe early season or at least able to harvest a bonus buck later in the season. If we can all manage a doe/bonus buck we will definitely be in the running. But if you don't, no biggie. It's all about having fun and great comraderie. Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk
My practice has been going pretty good haven’t got to shoot as much as I want to. Been so busy with our remodeling hopefully I will get a chance to get some practice in this week
Good shooting! I havent shot since just before the season opened. But i had it very well dialed in between 10 and 30 yards. Is that a redhead bear target? I've wanted to get one for a while now, just wasn't sure of the durability of those targets. Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk
I have no idea what brand it is. I helped a friend and his family move back in the spring and this was left at the house by the previous owner. He gave it to me since his family doesn’t hunt. I have been shooting it all summer to save wear and tear on my elk target.
I am shooting every day now, even if it just a few shots in the garage from 5 yards. Focusing on forum and increasing time for holding at full draw. That is what I have done the last couple of nights, working on holding full draw for at least 90 seconds. First night it was 30 seconds, last night it was 45 seconds. Building up to 60 second holds by the end of the weekend.
That’s a good idea that’s something I’ve never really practiced I’m going to practice that this weekend and all next week I should have some time to get some good practice next week we’re waiting on an inspection on our remodel before we can work on it anymore so I have some free time in the evenings after work Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Awesome sounds like a good plan! I've been limiting myself to 12 - 20 arrows so I don't start messing with my sight. I use to shoot til I was tired and then I would for some stupid reason mess with my sight thinking it would be ok.... only took me a few years to figure out that wasn't good idea lol. So I've been messing around with an ai image creator for the past week and finally got 2 good ones I think would be good for the team avatar. Hopefully we get some other ideas as well. Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk
