Where I hunt in Kansas it is mostly brushy, scarcely wooded draws. No field edges really, to set up on. The cows like to go in the draws to bed and the bucks like to go to the draws to bed, look for does and stay out of sight. So if the cows and deer are in there at the same time they will be relatively close to each other. I just hope the deer won't be deterred by the cows.

Remember, this is not a big buck contest. The key to winning is to get the highest point total. If everyone kills a doe, and half or more us kill bucks, we have a great shot. I stole this from @LittleChief in his team thread; if everyone kills a doe and the team's buck score averages 70 inches you have the winning score for the last three years.

That takes paraphrasing up a notch or two, but that’s basically what I said.

I’m going to do my best to kill both we are remodeling a mobile home right know we put on our property we bought about 3 years ago that butts up right next to our lease I’m trying to have it ready before October 1 not sure I’ll make it but it’ll be close as long as I don’t have any problems passing the inspection I also have a new job me and my father had to close our family logging business in April and my new job we work 4-10s so I get most Fridays off so I should have some extra time to hunt this year barring we don’t get flooded with overtime

It's all good if you don't. Just like Adam said. Don't change the way you hunt just for the contest. Hope your able to fill both!

Put me on the bottom of the list, but I will do it if no one else wants it.

I vote for Cantexian (Adam) or Nick.

Adam's good at keeping track of LC's score on LFTS thread, so if he can do that, he can do anything, lol

It helps that LC and I have become friends outside the forum and hunted together at least one weekend every season for the last few years. He is quick to text me if I fall behind.

I am good with either Nick or myself. He can have it if he really wants it. Nobody tell my wife if it is me. I made the mistake of being Captain while our youngest was a newborn. Every year she tells me not to be a Captain. I have done a couple times since then. What she doesn't know doesn't hurt me.

I nominate Cantexian for captain. Come on everyone, lets do it! Once he's elected I will send his wife the good news on Messenger since I have that ability.
