It certainly does. I have had opportunities in the past few years and passed waiting for something bigger. With the price of meat in the grocery stores, I have have abandoned that for this year. I have three growing boys to feed, if it is legal and bigger than a fawn, I am shooting. Three so far this year, need 8-9 to avoid buying meat.

Same here, #1 reason I hunt is for the meat. 4 kids, 3 of which are preteen/teens. Groceries killing me right now. Plus it’s nice to know exactly where your meat is coming from.
Shot a fergie buck tonight. I’ll score just to make sure. Only 2nd time I’ve bow hunted this year and maybe my last with gun season coming in and 3 kids with tags. Glad to put some meat in the freezer

I had another encounter with the nontypical again. He walked straight towards my stand and walked underneath me without presenting me an angle for a shot. It's getting to look like it might be him or nothing at all. We shall see. I've had plenty of action but not anything really big yet. Here are just a few.

Gun season opened yesterday. Have tomorrow off work so will be gun hunting with the kids tomorrow and Saturday. Hoping my kids get a deer or three, lol
