Mine here in Pa is Sat Sept 30th... but believe it or not I won't be able to get out till Monday Oct 2nd. I'm leaving this Saturday for 8 days to head to Ana Maria Island in Florida. Taking my 11 month old son on a plane for this first time staying with some people that get annoying after 3 days and my wife is freaking out about all of it should be rad. Your going to be busy! Wis. bow season starts Sept. 16. Trucks all packed leaving tomorrow for Colorado elk hunting. Don't kick me off the team if I'm gone for a few weeks. When I get back I'll be hunting whitetails most days. Sure is nice to be retired!

That sounds like a good trip you and your family have planned. It funny you mentioned after 3 days those ppl will get annoying lol trust me though you love them there are times being around certain folks they can get on our nerves... hopefully all goes well. Ohio opens Sept 30th. I am hoping to get out opening weekend and maybe bag a doe. I'll be leaving for moose hunting in Newfoundland the next weekend so realistically won't be hunting whitetail till later in October.

This will be my 4th moose hunt. I shot a small bull in Manitoba with rifle a few years ago. This will be my 1st time in Newfoundland and 1st time with a bow. We will be the last group for the year so I am hoping the bulls will still respond to calling at that point.
PackerFanShootingMathews checking in. Name is Jacob and I will be hunting Western Ohio about half way up the state on the Indiana border. Been doing the contest for probably 5 years now and usually can put a decent buck on the ground, but 50/50 on if it will be with a bow or shotgun. I will try to be decently active in the forum, but can't promise anything since just had our first child 4 months ago. Plenty busy and hoping the treestand time doesn't take to much of a hit, but the wife hunts also so going to interesting.
This is probably my number 1 hit list buck. We call him antelope and He is at least 4.5 years old. He won't score a lot but he is a unique deer whom I have history with since he was 1.5. Any of you guys ever heard of Deergro? This is my second year using it and I'm a huge believer. This was after two weeks of planting and one day of rain.
