Also this is how funny at times Deer Hunting can be... go in the woods and at times don’t see anything... but come to work and see plentiful amount of Deer on the City Limits of Baltimore.

Pics taken this morning while in the parking lot waiting to come in the gate for my 6-2 shift lol

2 Does not even 15yds away lol

That’s a crazy looking buck! I’d like to see him in the ground!

Hunted a total of 9hrs. Today saw no deer. Back at it tomorrow to a stand I’ve seen some does consistently just no shots

I also hunted a good portion of the day at about 4:30 the neighbor rode his atv down the fence line I’m only about 60 yards off of the fence row I waved he waved I thought no big deal he rides around all the time but then he stopped shut the atv off just over the hill I did t hear anything for awhile then I realized what he was doing after about 100 rounds of pistol fire he drive back by and waved again that was about 6pm needless to say it wasn’t a productive evening

I ended up seeing quite a few deer. Everything small though. Button bucks, yearling doe fawns, and a couple forkies. The forkies were pushing the young does around pretty hard. Even had two button buck twins come up and sniff the buck bomb I put out at 5 yards. Hunting in the morning, hard at it again. Should wake to see a frosty morning

Wack-a-doo that's a unique buck for sure! Is that a long drop tine on his left side?

We're getting our 1st snow of the year. Went out at 2, drizzling out so I went to a food plot that has a pop-up blind. Started snowing around 4.
Deer were moving good, had does and fawns with one small buck around most of the afternoon. 1st time I've hunted this plot this year, didn't want to shoot a doe until I saw what was using this plot.

Bigger bucks are showing up on cameras, next two weeks are always exciting! IMG_1162.JPG WGI_1081.JPG

Yes it does look like a long drop tine he would be a really cool deer to see on hoof I brought my nice cannon camera so I could take pics if I see him at a distance.

Well guys I shot a pretty nice one and I thought the shot looked pretty decent but maybe a bit further back than I wanted I waited an hour to get out of the stand I went to point of impact there was good blood immediately he ran back the way I had come in and it’s really my only way out of that spot too so I followed blood for about 70 yards barely had to look for it it was all over then he crossed the atv trail I use as access I decided to go back to the truck get rid of some of my gear and lose a layer of clothes to continue tracking about 20 yards after he crossed the trail he had bedded down I never saw him jump up when I walked out I backed out waited another two hours for a buddy to come help total time since shot 3.5 hours we picked up good blood looked like just draining out both sides as he walked found another bed about 60 yards from the first we followed blood from there in the valley between two hills he was staying down low after another hundred yards I began to think maybe we should back out again wait a little longer as I started to say hey let’s go get lunch and come back he jumped up 30 yards in front of us tried going up the hill stopped half way at 56 yards I had to shot he walked away and back down into the brushy valley not very fast so now we have backed out and will go back late tonight to see if he needed back down and died I hope he did the hole looked maybe a touch low not too far back the blood is bright and bubbly so I believe he is a dead deer walking just hope he lays down and doesn’t move so I can find him he was bleeding as he walked away we could see it dripping off of his side I’m guessing he will be 145” or so if I can find him

Got some good news guys! Buck I hit opening day is still alive. Got pictures of him this week. Shot actually looks better than I expected. You can see the scar clearly in the pic. Hoping to meet up with him again this year and finish the deal. [IMG]
