Hey guys checking in, My name is Nate Simmons I am from Chippewa Falls WI. Currently reside in Granton, WI. Pretty excited about this years turkey season. We have about 30 birds coming right up to the farm everyday. I will be watching to see how their patterns change come snow melt. I have second season here in Wisconsin. I just bought a house in Bloomer WI and will be moving during turkey season, I will still find time to get out and shoot a bird hopefully. Last year my focus was on getting my fiancé her first bird and we succeeded at that. During my season the birds weren't cooperating as well and I ended up wounding a bird unfortunately.
I'm from menomonee falls originally. Been in Florida for ten years. Welcome to the team. Good to have another cheese head.Haha.
Brad how are the turkeys doing in your area. Here in Wisconsin they are finding pockets of dead turkeys in the woods from starvation since it was such a bad winter

Its hard for me to tell where I hunt. It has definitely been a hard winter but every winter there is a person in an area a little ways away that gets permission from the DNR to feed them. The turkeys then migrate back to my area. They should be coming back within a couple weeks and then I'll be able to pinpoint them.
Here in Kansas the gobbler are getting ready to split up. I have two different properties that I have watched them roost on. One is on the river and the other is just out of city limits. Also have 5 big toms hitting the feeder, got some trail cam pictures. It should be a great season, opens up April 1st so here we go boys let's win this!!!
