This guy showed up for the rut and late season last year. He'll obviously be my #1 if he's back this season.

Here are a few other bucks that should be around. Most of these bucks I have pictures of for the last 2 or more years. Remember, these are last year pics. So, although Eye Guard is my number 1 choice, I have never had a limited hunting season. I will have a difficult time passing any of these guys if they stroll by me.

I don't know how many of you guys know me from past seasons, but obviously my name is Shawn. I live in Florida now. Been here since late March. Unfortunately I haven't found or secured any hunting spots yet. I am a transplant here, originally from the big buck state of Ohio. With that said I'll have about 2 weeks to get a doe and a decent buck. I'll be hunting on private property, 2 different areas. One is the family farm I grew up on and another is a small 15 acre private land that is one of the best small acreage I've ever seen. Been hunting on this land for about 13 years now. My stands are still up, I just need my son to get my 2 cameras going. Should be some really nice bucks to choose from. First time ever hunting with a limited time to get'er done. So hopefully I'll be able to pull it off. I've been an x-ray tech now for 20+ years with the Cleveland Clinic. I'm hunting in Tuscarawas county. What counties are you Ohio guys hunting in?

Hey guys, I've got a question. If someone gets a buck still in the velvet, how is that scored? Is there any deductions or is the score as it scores in the velvet? I'd like to know both officially and for the contest as well. I just don't think it would be right if someone shot a giant buck in velvet and it's score would be a world record but knowingly it would drop below the record if it was hard horned.

Not sure as far as record goes i would think have to be a separate category but for contest i think we just measure and i guess its just a bonus considering about 20-30% mass is lost when they shed

I looked up some info on it. Pope & Young will score it as is with the velvet on. B&C will not score it if the velvet affects any measurement. Velvet pretty much has to be peeled of for an official B&C score.

Thanks for joining our ensemble, as our guest, we designate you as the one in the green. Clearly, since we started band, we are all prettier than you.

Been shooting a little bit. Does anyone know why sometimes I have to adjust my sights. If I shoot one day I will be on. Shoot couple days later I’m off. And when I’m dead on I try shooting at 40 yards it’s horrible. Do I just suck. Last year I was dead on at 40

    Hi Guys
Great looking bucks in this team thread. We are open for doe here in VA but I usually wait untill October when it is cooler . Wife is having a bit of bad luck medical issues but the stand will be some much needed therapy for me. I am usually out in Co archery elk but could not make the trip this year.
Heartstopper do you do bare shaft tuning I will guess something is loose on the bow or your ancor point is not as soilid as it needs to be ( free advice)
I need to shoot some myself this week good luck in it for the win
    Kirk
