Got the food plot seeded and mowed today. Looks a lot different, hopefully we get some rain.

20211130_160618.jpg 20211130_160609.jpg This is the buck I was after last year. I have a pic after deer season ended so he should be still in the area. Haven't checked cams yet, will try to this weekend.

How did everybody do last season?

I shot a doe with my 3 year old in the blind and a buck with my 7 year old. 107" was much smaller than my self imposed minimum, but it was a blast sharing that moment with her!

Took my personal best on opening day last year. Took a doe out the next 2 days then another doe on Wednesday. Season over in 5 days for me. Was nice but yet I sure missed hunting the rut. I did go out a few times with my grand kids but as for me my season was over, 4 deer in 5 days. Taking out my personal best on opening day was pretty sweet though.

So I will be in Ohio opening weekend but I'll be spending all my time with my kids and grand kids. However, I'll be in Ohio for about the first 2 weeks of November as long as I can coordinate it with work. This trip will pretty much be strictly for hunting!!!!!

I took my best buck in 2020, last year I took about 100 inches. Ground shrinkage got me lol.

I got mine on Oct 12 and 17. My season was over after 3 sits. In 2020, I got my buck on the second day of season.

I took a doe last year after a couple of years of nothing.

This is the buck I'm looking to be after in November when I get back up to Ohio and sneak back onto the old family farm. It's a buck I call Eye Guard. I've never seen him on the hoof and only have daylight pics of him before season starts. No pics yet this year but I'm hoping my son gets those 2 cams up asap. Here are a few pics of him last year before the season started. This year I'll definitely try and take out a doe while I'm up there but Eye Guard will be my #1 priority as I'll only have about 12 days to get it done. Here he is in 2021. I'm thinking this year he'll be a typical 12 with the junk at his bases. Not sure how big he'll be, but I'm positive he'll make B&C this year.

Cant beat that. Better than shooting a 170” buck on your own.

Last year i broke a long buckless streak with my bow. I let a lot of deer pass that were really nice but i was looking for a B+C. After a few very frustrating years i decided to loosen up my standards and have fun.I was happy with him. Very nice heavy 150” 9 pt. On a hot doe december 17th. 46473D12-59D6-4986-90D4-FDB8304726E6.jpeg
Before him i chased a few big ones including the one below for a few years. He was just a giant bodied 8pt who ran the show. Neighbor ended up getting him and he dressed out 225lbs. He looked like a pitbull even before rut. Only scored 134” as an 8 but was a mature beast. F3BE3CA7-CD2B-4F48-BC30-25B52F447423.jpeg
Then before that i dedicated alot of time to this guy. Only had permission to go after him after gun season on this property 3 yrs trying and he got hit by a car and his rack got completely destroyed :bigcry:

here he is with his little punk he used to push around. My cousin ended up killing him he was a nice 8 pt.

After chasing a few like this with close calls and no luck i started to get frustrated so i quit targeting specific deer and said if something nice comes my way im gonna let it happen. Its been much more enjoyable the past couple years. I did go in after this guy last year and stumbled on him dead of EHD on my first attempt to get him. 632678DC-10BE-45A5-9B71-5CAD26A0446B.jpeg 10B8B771-E315-4B9C-B3B4-C607E15DB796.jpeg
At least he still made it to a wall haha. 4DA83365-F455-46C5-87A7-36E0403EC6D9.jpeg

Sorry guys I have busy. Had a really great year last year. Shot several does. Didn’t have any chances and bucks. Image1662247602.912548.jpg
These are the two I tried for last year.

    Great deer all!
I usually wait and find a specific buck that I’ll target. Nothing this year so far but we have money 3 to 5 yr olds that made it through 21 season.
Here’s a few from the last couple years.
