My parents got me another Tactacam. These things are addicting!

 

They are so addicting. I have 4 in Ohio and 1 here at home. Taking inventory now to see what's left.

 

Im using the spypoints. Same thing pretty much. Very very addicting

I may get out if i get some arrows built. Finally got everything I ordered. Some geese are finally showing up in my area though so i may have to jump on that instead. Happy new year!!!

I haven't been out in a month, but I still have a month left to chase deer.

 

This guy decided to stroll behind the house at 10am Happy New Year!

 

I had high hopes for hunting this weekend before going back to work Tuesday. Unfortunately, high temps, a head cold, and other responsibilities have put a hold on that. I did talk woth my wife. We have the final youth rifle weekend on the 7-8. I want to go into a new spot to bowhunt tomorrow afternoon and scout it for my boys for next weekend. I have hunted the WMA several times but not the spot I want to go into.

 

He's going to be a slammer this fall.

 

Yes he will. Working on permission on surrounding fields. So hard these days to get it like pulling teeth.

 

made it out a couple times the last few days. took a doe last night w/Mossberg and another this morning w/the bow. so far, 2023 is looking pretty good. 2022 couldn't get over fast enough for me.

I was hoping to get out today, but it is pouring rain and thunderstorms all day. Back to work tomorrow and the final youth weekend next weekend.

Yesterday at work I cringed at this guy's ladder extension. Very creative, but scares me.

My son got a small doe last night with an hour left in the last youth weekend. My wife is out of town next weekend. She is taking a girl’s weekend since I was in Missouri for five days back in November. I will get out at least one more time before the end of the contest to try to get a buck. I had been wanting to get out New Year’s weekend. Unfortunately, I got sick over Christmas and had to spend my free time helping the MIL.

 

Season ends this weekend. Doubt I will be able to make it out.

Yea illinois is over this weekend. Already planning for next season. Will get some equipment and chainsaws ready to go for late February early march. Relocating some food plots and have some other enhancements in mind for the private by the house.
