My morning really sucked. First when I was putting my contact in I dropped it and lost it so had to wear my glasses out. Secondly I get out there and realized I left my clocking rope back at the house. So I get back out there and to my stand and of course I heard deer dispersing as I got closer. Then I get up and get settled in and what happens, I drop my glove. So I go back down and get it. First 6 pointer saw about 8. Wide little 4 point just before 10 spitting snow. Decided if a nice doe comes by I will whack her!
Guys i know this doesn’t count. Wish i got him first. Its on LFTS thread. Been a long day and im just getting caught up on all this. Killed target buck. Was awesome hunt. Story is in LFTS. Was surreal.
My buddy just shot this buck about 1/4 mile from where I hunt! He hit him high last week and finished him off tonight.
For those of you not following the LFTS thread. This morning I took out a nice doe. I then decided to hunt some more cause love is in the air. Wasn't long I saw a nice buck coming that same way that doe came in. I hit him and followed a reasonable blood trail. Some bubbles in blood along the way. I decided to back out and a tracker is meeting me at 4 to go after him. Hoping for the best!!!!!
Got to last blood I marked. Tracker and dog went out ahead. He told me stay out, so I'm sitting on a log waiting now!
I want to find him really bad. But, if the tracker can't find him I'll still be hunting until I get a buck or the 20th. Whichever comes first!!!!!
