When I do finally get out this season, I like being in the stand anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour before legal shooting light. Cloudy days probably closer to 30 and sunny days closer to 1 hour.
Went to pumpkin patch this afternoon. It is a warm one. Be out Sunday afternoon after rain. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
He looks nice. How many times did you have to say that in your head. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
122” would be my best with a bow. What part of the country are you in? Public land in Arkansas, I am shooting that every time.
SW Ohio, private. All 3 properties I hunt have had near Booners in the last handful of years. Makes it hard to shoot a 120" early on in the season...
You made the right call given your goals and the potential in your area. Like Cantex said in public Arkansas better be sending an arrow haha. But SW Ohio is Giant land. Im in the same boat where i hunt. Makes for some tough calls. Good thing is illinois is a 2 buck state so you can knock the dust off on a 130-140 and know that youre still good to hold out for a 170+ cause they are there.
Tonight’s the night. Going in creek bottom with decoy. Rained most of the day. I have a feeling. got this guy on camera a few times Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
He could be 122", but I'm thinking more like 112"-115". You definitely made the right decision. One more year he'd be 130"-140", 2 more years he could be 160"-170".
