Was able to sneak out of work early last Thursday after I got a cell cam pic of a shooter at 7am. Hoped to get in and catch him leaving his bedroom. Sure enough, he stepped out at about 42 yards with plenty of light. He just stood out there for a good 5 minutes, looking around. There were 3 different ways he could've taken. 2 of them would have put him within 22 yards, but he decided to go the other way...Still not 100% sure on the age of this buck, starting to think he may only be 3, but I've seen enough pictures of him to know that I'll 1000% send an arrow his way if given the chance! Cams are blowing up this morning. Ill be out in a buddy stand with my daughter this evening. Tomorrow i will have to hunt tree i left my sticks and platform in.
Had that 10-pointer at 20 about ten minutes before legal light this morning...Then saw like 10-12 more deer including a couple aggressive 1 year old bucks that fought for about 15 seconds right in front of me. Pretty cool to see even if they were just little guys!
My buddy said he saw about same thing yesterday 2 2-1/2 yo going at it. This weather really is enhancing this phase. Headed out to stand in about hour or so.
had a good night with my daughter saw 3 small bucks. One had the nasty fibroma warts all over him. Will be out in the AM but will need to go out super early and tear down my sticks and platform to move for east wind. Ugh that sucks i wish i would have just taken that set down. Oh well. No biggie just cant wait to get out there
All this action and I'm going crazy not being able to hunt. I've got 2 more weeks!!!!! Going to do some shooting at the archery range today. Who's all hunting this weekend. Probably everyone but me. Should be a great weekend.
It looks like my urban property is heating up. My biggest buck from the summer showed back up, but I'm not sure he's a shooter either.
Finally got my son to send me a couple pics. Here is the stand site I'll be hunting on the family farm. It has produced a ton of does over the years and many nice bucks.
Found an archery range not too far from where I live, and it's free. The targets are pretty beat up so I just aimed at spots on the targets. Different yardages 18, 20, 22, 25, and 40. Hit pretty much spot on from all distances. Shot about 2 dozen times. The deer target was the 40 yard one. Here are some pics.
It is not pretty, but it was free and only took 20 minutes to make. Built a deck system for the back of my Jeep. Hopefully, be a little more organized when I hit the road MO in a little over a week.
Seen five tonight. Getting last light and three does come blasting thru. My son said he thought he seen a big body deer behind them. On the fun side I poured water on a ground hog it was funny to watch it freak out. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums

Did that really happen to you tonight? I think any bow hunter of a lengthier career, has had that or something similar happen to them at least once.
