I shot my second biggest buck on October 10th right at last light when we had a record setting heat wave for a few days back in 2011. It was 88 degrees. Now this was on the verge of a massive cold front that was coming our way over night. But still, 88 degrees when I shot him that evening. Was a 145" 12 point.
For sure! I killed this guy Oct 15th-ish 2012 it was like 85 degrees or something. Rising pressure though. He moved just a little too early and i grunted softly. His curiosity got him dead. He was 4yo 134” mainframe 8 with 4 points coming out of his left brow tine so 12 scorable. But his body was Huge. Not a fun drag in 85 degree heat with no deer cart. Ive been told i need to score him again cause he looks bigger but i really dont care what he scores lol. Not worth pulling him off the wall again. Dressed out 195 lbs.
I will be camping this weekend. So I. Don’t think I will make it out Sunday. Next weekend i should be out. Be safe out there. A local deer tracker got shot this weekend with a crossbow in the leg. I guess the guy tripped and the bow went off. Crazy stuff. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Never walk with a loaded weapon, even without the finger on the trigger, accidents happen. Hopefully, that guy will be alright.
We are having a party Saturday evening. Its going to be really warm here. Im going to stay out of the woods. Our OT is cut here at work right now thank God. So i retracted my vacay in november. I was going to be off from the 12th-27th. Instead ill be able to use those days as conditions dictate. Ill probably try to do it where every weekend starting with next weekend ill take 3-5 day weekends. Spread it out a little

Dang, that would suck. Not that I'd want it to happen but I often wondered how it would feel to be shot by one of those expandable broadheads. I've always told my wife if someone breaks in she can have the pistol, but I'm shooting them with my bow!
Took my son out yesterday evening since I’ll be away next week. Went to our hayfield not really knowing what would show up. It was breezy but seen deer pretty much the whole sit. With about 15 mins of legal light left out steps this 5 yr old 10 we’ve seen a few times on other cams. He came in to 38 yds and Zane made a great shot, right through bottom of the heart. He went 40 yds and started doing the death circles. Such a big bodied deer dressing at 220lbs. It was really special for him, my father in law passed early this year after a long battle with Parkinson’s. Zane wore his hunting beanie, boots and gloves along with a necklace he bought for him for good luck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Very nice buck. Sounds like a great time and special moment honoring his Papa. I know I was with my grandson when he was 12 and he killed his first buck, it was awesome. Congrats to your son on a very nice buck!!!!!
What an awesome two bucks. They will never forget that moment and neither will you two. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I finally got a shooter on cam! Checked my most productive cam and there was no card in it. I triple check that stuff, so I'm 97% sure somebody trespassed and took it. And maybe I should rethink not shooting does here...
Ive been talking more to the guy that hunts bordering property to me. He runs tons of cams and has alot of foodplots. Check these 2 out he’s been after. Good thing is i have a chance at these too. Especially once the chase is on.
I was going to say 150" but pictures are always hard to judge, especially mass. Either way, I was close.
