Nah, that is just a rumor. He does squeeze out the tarsal glands for a marinade on those camp tenderloins though.

Now, be honest, did you buy the land or did you son buy then land? First choice goes to the owner. At least, that is what I tell my kids when they want something I have.

Alright guys! It's about time to turn up the heat and start smoking some deer! We are currently sitting tied for last place. Unfortunately I can't help out until November 12th. I'm going to give it all I can my 9 days. Hoping I don't let you or myself down. I'm excited yet worried. I know what kind of deer are on the family farm. I've been hunting it since I was 13. 43 years later it's still as awesome as it can be. But, I've never had just a 9 day season and I know how deer can be. I'm going to the best prime location that has produced both a ton of does and some very nice bucks. Good luck team. Let's start whackin and stackin points. Get some more does on the board then start knocking down some big boys!!!!!

We just know they all need a head start. This is going to be a slam dunk. Haha. After talking to the neighbors they think i may have shot a buck they have seen a few times. They said the other day they saw him walking funny out in a field. I dont know. The body on this deer looks bigger than the one i shot. But the rack looks similar. Hard to tell his head is down and this is still velvet but he sent me this. This is about half mile away. 3105BE62-9B1E-47CA-AD66-57DD4FEC5B6B.jpeg

If that's the one you shot, he's definitely a pretty nice one for sure!

I had that doe at 10 yards last weekend, but I don't want to shoot does out there. They are fair game at my other 2 properties though.

I had just told my coworker that we should be finding sheds on this property and BOOM...shed head! Good mass for a 2 year old. I give sheds/heads to the property owners, but most tell me to just keep them.

I leave for Oklahoma Monday. It's their muzzleloader season but I could buy the bow tag instead, each tag/license is $300. I'm torn, 90% sure I'll kill one here in Ohio and probably bigger, but I've never bow hunted in Oklahoma. Last 5 years have all been muzzleloader hunting.

So who's all hunting this weekend. You all ought to be breaking out those antlers and start doing a little rattling and grunting. Those bucks are probably starting to feel a little frisky. About now through the first week of November is when I've killed most of my bucks. Good luck to you all!!!!!

75-78° this weekend. Will the bucks still be doing late October stuff? Maybe just early morning and late evening?

And please keep reminding me that this guy is too small!
