Didn't have much luck this weekend. Went to my local spot and saw only a small doe. Went out to our lease Saturday and Sunday evenings, didn't see anything Saturday. On the walk in on Sunday we kicked up 3 bedded does, then had a doe and fawn get to like 20 yards while I was setting up the platform in the tree and my wife was at the base of the tree without any arrows....she left her quiver at the office so I had all our arrows in my quiver which I had in the tree. Then we didn't see anything the rest of the hunt.

Having a little warm up this week and then cold front comes in Thursday night. Thursday high 72 Friday high 58 . I'll be on a mission this weekend to fill my doe tag. Still not much on cam to peak my interest for a buck, except for one that hasn't been on cam since August. He just showed back up and the body on this thing is unreal. Reminds me of my 2020 buck that dressed at 221lbs.

Looks like mine. Caught this one behind the house couple weeks ago. Personal best. 6 pounds 12 ounces. Hopefully get out Friday evening if not on Saturday morning.

23 inches. I would have put money on him being 10lbs, but after calming down I know that's not the case. I'm also 6'8 265lbs for reference. :woot:

Nice bass fellas. I need to wet a line myself. Chasing Crappie isnt out of the question any time of year

Yeah, Saturday will be the first time since March we had a day time high lower than 70. Unfortunately, hunting isn't an option for me this weekend. On top of my boys' football games, Saturday is the 1 year anniversary of my FIL passing. My wife probably wouldn't care for her sake, but, we are spending the weekend keeping my MIL company.

IMG_20221005_194115368_HDR.jpg Guys, I got my case and TSA approved locks. My question is how do you think I should take my arrows? I was thinking about getting like a cardboard tube at a craft store, put them in there and just pack them in my luggage. What do you all think?

Cardboard tube was my thought as well. I don't have any first hand experience though...

Saturday looks awesome here, but it's one of two overtime opportunities we get each year. Instead of OT, I get paid in 1.5x vacation days for hunting. I should be in the woods at some point on Sunday.

That is what I would do if the case doesn't have designated holders. Put the tube in the case if it will fit.

As long as we not swamp with no heat calls. I’m leaving work at 2 and should be in stand by 315 tomorrow. Bring on the cold front

I just got told no more OT. Must be cutting back. I honestly need it right now cause of unforeseen circumstances but….. maybe its a sign from God to go hunt the cold front

My son is finally getting the cams up on Saturday. That should give me about 4 or 5 weeks of pics to see hopefully a few of my big boys. I did lose one good spot so I'm down to just the family farm now. But, I know there's some giants in them there woods. Can't wait to start seeing the pics. He is going to check the cams once a week. One thing this does is it narrows down my spots I'll be hunting in a 9 day period. No more should I go here or there. Just stand locations I'll have to choose.

This cold front got them moving early yesterday. Going in after this deer this evening.
