Here’s a couple from my cam check today. Deployed 5 more and setup 2 mock scrapes. Not sure who this deer is, but I’d give him a long look if he came in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Target aquired for the spot by my house. That is if the land owner doesnt run him off. He doesnt hunt and is too active. Like to mow too much and what not. He got crazy with the bush hogging again this year. Like he just doesnt have anything to do so he figures he will destroy good buck habitat haha. Anyway he is on a couple cams and hes a Tank. Definitely a heavy mature deer. May not score too high but im loving the beast body. If he comes in hes getting shot. Guessing hes 140’s or close if not as a main frame 8.
Then theres this guy. Hope he doesnt come in too fast. Has a funky turkey foot side on his left side. I may shoot him if the opportunity arises. idk
Went and checked a few cards at our cabin and brushed in a blind today. Nothing too impressive yet. I might head out for a hunt this weekend. Crap ton of does need thinned out Had a few visitors in the yard Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Shooting not to bad way better than the old one. I honestly haven’t shot it that much. Been little busy. Went out to garage tonight just to hold it. Haha Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I'll be out tomorrow evening with my son. Have my cousin from PA coming in this evening to hunt the weekend. Pulled cards at dad's farm, his target is coming in ever evening to the clover field. He might knock'm out this weekend. Also have a buck we know well coming in, he's a big 8 that I really like, my son almost killed him last year late season, glad he didn't.
Might try and go in the morning. North wind. Should be good. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I have a NNW wind until about 10 am. That is perfect for one of my favorite spots, although it is a little early. I may go in there anyway. I have a trail camera I want to put out in the spot overlooking a community scrape. Family life has been kicking my butt the last couple of months.
First sit with my dude, weather conditions could be better. Cold rain and wind Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I hunted this morning until 10:30. Saw two does and fawns around 9 am at 75 yards. Never came closer. Scouted a new WMA with buddy from Noon - 3pm this afternoon. He set up near a pond. We jumped two does out of a thick draw about 100 yards from the pond. This drought we are in is killing the acorn crops. I put a trail camera on the trail where I saw the does. There is a good scrape area about 30 yards away. I would be out there for the evening, but I lost a mounting screw on my sight walking out this morning, so I came home when he went to sit for the evening.
I won’t be making out this weekend. Hopefully next weekend. Good luck who is all going out and stay safe. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I had a few hr hunt yesterday morning and saw nothing. Im heading out here by the house for an evening sit. Crops are just starting to be cut so ill have to do some observation sits to figure things out.
Back in the saddle again! Set up in the middle of the bottoms on an old logging rd. There was a nice sized buck tracks on way in. Tricky wind to hunt this but my setup just may work. Cross fingers
I went out yesterday morning with my 7 year old daughter. A doe came in to our fawn decoy, but it was before legal shooting light. No other sightings after that...
I got a new mounting screw for my sight and put it in with Loctite. I let it sit overnight and shot Sunday evening, dead on at 30. Hopefully, that is the end of equipment problems for the season.
