Finally the week! Gotta get all my clothes washed and ready, organize my pack, and continue to shoot. Other than that, Saturday morning I will be in a tree. Later on in the week I will make a decision on which stand, but as long as the wind cooperates, I will be sitting over a field corner where our target bucks have been showing regularly.
I'm going to get ut about at least one this weekend I bet. Not sure where or why yet but things should start happening. Good luck everyone!
Change of f plans for me: Wife’s aunt passed away this morning. Going to be with the family this evening. Friday afternoon now.
Sorry to hear that Beaver. Working up at the farm, beans are out (that I didn't have them leave in). Working on getting my blind tower up. All I can say is I need my son to be about 10 years older, I need his help, lol. Though I wouldn't wish these years away for a second. It's just hard to get a lot of this done by myself, and I hate to impose on my buddies. Probably get them out this weekend to help me finish. I hate that it's so late, but everything got delayed for months shipping with all the production and shipping issues. What can you do. It'll be great next year, lol. No worries. I was not very close with her and she always resented my in-laws for having children and then my wife and her sister for having more children. Does not mean that there were no emotions as any cancer is bad. And will always re-affirm f—-cancer.

Unlike most weeks ahead of the opener, this one has flown by until today. Been slammed busy at work and now time is crawling by watching the clock. Going to be warmer than I would like, but I'll be out Saturday morning. Definitely won't be shooting anything other than one of the target bucks this weekend, the following weekend I will start looking at some does during the morning hunt only. Third week of October I have a long 5 day weekend and will definitely try to put a doe on the ground then if I don't have one already.
Looking like mid to upper 80's Friday then a nice cooldown with rain mixed in. I'll pry skip the heat tomorrow and try to find somewhere that's not raining for Saturday.
I have a 20 hour, sit on your ass in planes and in airports, flight Friday into Saturday. I arrive in Spain at 10:30 am Saturday morning. Wishing everyone the best of luck! I will be watching and commenting when I can.
Drove around the public spot next to my house tonight and there was only 1 car anywhere around it. Little surprised even with 80 weather.
Strike out for me tonight again. My phone vibrated for last light and I sat back down and heard something crashing through the woods behind me. Win some and lose some.
Hot morning here temperature wise, cold morning deer wise. Still waiting to see the first one of the season.
I think that’s about it for me this morning. Ended up seeing one doe about 90 yards away. I’ll be back in the stand this evening. Hopefully we will have some good movement with the storms coming through shortly after dark.
