I am always a fan of the less fancy the better so “The Big 10” gets my vote.

Also since we have had no real volunteers for captain, I can take that chance.

Got a new stand set up and I spread some clover out in a new food plot with some sugar beets hopefully for browse cover. Don't expect much out of the clover this year but hopefully it rains good. Still have tomorrow to hopefully get my sticks together and fling a couple arrows.

Bowhunt4abuck, can you change the thread title to Team 10 The Big 10? Also, where is everyone else? I feel we have the same 3-4 people commenting. If everyone can get on WhatsApp via Facebook or just your phone number and then PM me your info, I can get us set up for an offsite chat. All “official” business will need to go through here but it is fun to stay in touch.

Hoping to get some redemption on my 2 buck misses from last season. Other than that I'm still enjoying fishing. Bite is still strong and I'd really like to get a 20 inch smallmouth to close out the year.

Season starts Oct 1st for me. Went up to the farm this weekend and got two locations set up and ready. One is a main travel path between the neighbors and our corn field, have a group of bucks going through regularly every couple days. This will be the spot for the first weekend unless the cameras start telling me something different. The other is on a food plot. This will be the go to spot once the crops are off for sure, and will probably sneak in there anytime the wind is right.

I've been knee-deep chasing elk in my Colorado Mountains. Our deer and elk season started on the 2nd. Although I did not draw any licenses, I have friends from Indiana who did. The bulls are bugling and we are seeing elk every day. There's a difference between seeing them and putting an arrow into one though. But good fortune smiled on us last night when a 5x4 was arrowed. I will get a pic up soon. We have seen a cornucopia of wildlife including a mtn. lion. I'm back home for a few days and then I am heading back Friday. As far as the team goes, I am afraid I will not be much help until mid-October. I have a hunt planned in Spain from Oct. 1st-11th. Then I will begin concentrating on deer in South Dakota. It looks like I may try Indiana too around the first of November.

You will just have to shoot a bigger one this year, then it will be yours.

Illinois here, oct 1st it starts but I haven't hunted an opening day in years. Mainly just hunt cold fronts in oct until the last week.
I mostly only hunt my own farm and its only 60 acres so you gotta be careful with the pressure. I start my rutcation oct 29th and don't go back to work until nov 22nd!!

I will be hunting an hour northwest of Madrid for red deer, mouflon, wild boar, roe deer, and fallow deer. It's a 12,000 acre low fence estate and the owner only allows bow hunting. I cannot wait! Here's the picture of the bull taken yesterday.
