Indiana is showing me just how hard the Midwest big woods are to hunt. It’s still thick cover and extremely green. You cannot see the deer. I’ve seen one…a small button buck I quickly named “3.14”- as in Pi…cutie Pi. I’ll be back for another full day sit tomorrow. I am praying for a solid 8 point. I must say, it is difficult giving up the home court advantage for a shot in the dark deer. Without any general knowledge of the area, it is difficult to know what to shoot.
