Oh, those of us that are active will keep up the posting. Temps have dropped here and the movement is going to be awesome. Big time crunch for rutting period. Looking to be good.
Currently set up on my first sit on the private land. Last min food plot I put in looks as good as I could have dreamed considering the drought like conditions we had. Fingers crossed
Saw a small 6-point and a doe tonight. Doe was out of range and buck was pretty small. Good to be seeing deer again
Could have shot a little forky and small doe. Little disappointing for the first sit in a new stand but that happens. Not gona shoot a doe on the private farm this time of year. Back at it in the morning
Turns out I'm a liar, doe just offered a 30 yard quarting away shot and couldn't resist, shot looked a touch back but I'm pretty sure she was acting sick and wene down just out of sight.
Be a good test for these annihilater xls I guess. I'm gona stay here for at least a couple more hours hope a buck shows up
Almost forgot to take pictures lol so they will be crappy truck selfies lol the doe was quartering hard and I aimed at the heart and missed my spot by maybe 1 inch. Slammed offside shoulder only made it about 40 yards. I'm colorblind so I didn't even bother looking but I'm sure the blood trail would have been poor with about any broadhead the entry was about 3 inches behind last center mass. I only shoot about 62 lbs. No pass-through but I blew through the yote and stuck in the ground. Broadheads still look brand new and sharp. I like em so far.
