Good news! I was hunting on a friends land with a buddy and we were set about 150 yards from each other. Opposite sides of a field. My buddy got in a little late because we enter on different sides of the property. There's a creek running from my end to the middle of the field and it runs along side his entrance road. He texted me and told me there was an injured buck bedded down on the creek bed and thought he was shot. I hopped down and made my way toward him around 830 took about an hour to get there. He was texting me the whole time. Around 930 945 I could see my friend but couldn't see the buck. I almost gave up.

Then he stood up. He was about 65 yards back the way I came. Downwind. I had snuck past this buck at about 30 yards he laid back down after about 5 minutes. I crept towards him changing my pin the entire time. He stood up again at 45 yards I drew back and let the arrow fly. He was slightly quartered to so I aimed low on the front shoulder. Sounded like a ton of bricks. I saw my arrow sticking way out of his side. Least amount of penetration I have ever gotten. About 15 secs later I heard him crash.

Sorry I’ve been absent so much, guys. Been super busy with work. I’m out right now for the second time today. Didn’t see anything this morning, but I’m a lot closer to the alfalfa field that right off the edge of the woods. We’ll see what happens.

Also I finalized the team prize for this year. It will be a Cobra Switch release.

    Nice buck man!!

I’ll also add to that prize, a custom wrist sling for the winners bow. Their choice of color and design..

I updated the score sheet, my buck grossed 120 3/8”

    Congrats all!

Our firearms season opened yesterday, so I'll be gun hunting this week. Spent 10 hours in the woods with only a few small bucks and does seen. #1 has still been on camera but has zero pattern to him. I'll be back out this evening. Hoping this cold weather we are having will get him up to feed in the food plot I'll be hunting.

Been MIA lately but I have had zero good sits in the last 2 and a half weeks. Saw a decent buck Saturday night but I was pheasant hunting..

Hopefully get out a couple more times but it will all be weather dependent from here on out.

I was able to arrow a buck Saturday morning. Came in grunting and pushing a few does. I thought he was a deer I had history with but he was a young 8. Sorry this is almost a week later but I have been nonstop between being out of town this weekend and work and night classes this week. I'll get him scored this weekend and get it posted on the scorecard thread. I also was so focused on getting him processed I didnt even think to take pictures with my bow until after so I apologize for the incomplete deer. 20181124_093351.jpeg 20181130_161526.jpeg 20181130_161559.jpeg

I still can’t believe I killed him. Official 198 1/8 but with 19 scoreables unfortunately he won’t count towards the contest.

Realized the scoresheet never uploaded on my post. I couldn't edit it either. Do I need to create a new post with it attached? 20181202_164046.jpeg

Three years of history with him. Have his left side shed from 2016 which I would've guessed him to be in the mid 150's. Almost killed him this past January muzzleloader season but he came into the food plot with one side already shed. He was in the high 160's low 170's last season but did not recover his sheds. With the history I've had I am guessing him to be 5-6 yrs old, but will know for sure when I send the lower jaw in to be aged.
