Haven't got out too much and when I have I've been taking my boy gun hunting. In my hometown gun season ends on Nov. 30 and late bow season starts Dec. 1 so I will get a little time in before the season ends in January. Statistically speaking it doesn't look good as I've never killed a buck in this area after December (they've been gun hunting since Oct. 1) but I'll give it a go because you just never know what's gonna happen.

    Good luck!

I killed an "oops" buck in November that I just need to take the time to get scored and entered. He should go in the low 140's. He was just a baby though and I should have let him go for a couple of years. I also killed a doe in late October but it was an evening hunt and I forgot to get any photos before we skinned her out. I will definitely shoot some more does so I will get one entered. Hope the rest of you are getting to go out some more.

I hope I experience enough success in the future that I can have bucks like that. Right now I'm just working on shooting my first buck big enough to mount. I'm guessing by oops buck you shot a young buck that had a lot of potential to be a huge buck in a couple more years?

Guys, this is my "oops" buck. A nice 3 1/2 year old that needed two more years to be a stud. Lots of potential. It happened really fast, very early one morning and I just didnt take the time to make sure what I was shooting. I guess I just really wanted to shoot a buck with my bow that day. It's just too fun! lol. Those lighter colored racks always look bigger to me than they really are. I knew when he was tipping over 50 yards away what I had done. I felt bad, but was still excited to have taken a decent deer with the bow. The good news is, he is not a deer that I had ever seen, so I guess I killed one of the neighbors future booners. Now I have one buck tag left and will be hunting the late season in the COLD! Good luck all.

    Thanks.

The sheds are at a buddy's house where we hang and butcher our deer in his shop. He is a shed hunting fanatic and found over 150 this year alone. Over 100 per year the last several years.

Late bow season just opened back up here. It will be a few days before I am back out but I will hit it hard again for a while. I have never really bow hunted much late, but have seen quite a few deer while driving around and look forward to going.

I'm hunting this weekend, then I'm done for the season. Hoping for a buck, but I'll take a doe if given the chance.
