Those are some handsome deer. Love that one with the wide rack. Best of luck!

For many reasons, that I won’t go into here, my first hunt of the season (10-3 thru 10-6) was up in the air. Well, everything worked out and it’s now officially a go. I’ll be heading out late next Wednesday to hunt Thursday thru Sunday. Wooohoooo I’m so fired up, words cannot explain it.

We are on the board I believe. Shot was a little low but I'm pretty sure I see her on her side out in the field

Sweet, good job Josh. I had a doe and two fawns bust me a little while ago. She was at 15 yards before I saw her, and we both saw each other at the same time. She would have gotten a pass anyway for right now. Congrats, let's get some momentum rolling.

    Congrats Josh.

I had a pretty productive evening. Saw 7 doe tonight. I could have shot a lone doe that walked by my stand at 12 yards, but chose to shoot her w. the video camera instead.

I am hoping I get a shot at this guys relative on Oct. 11th. He's a big 10 with a very similar looking rack. Just a little more mass and wider spread and of course 2 more tines. If this one comes within 30 he's done too though. Pretty good for NC City deer.

That a way Josh. Meat in the freezer and points on the board! Now things can get rolling. Continued luck and safety to those who are hitting the woods this week!

I will be heading out this upcoming weekend. I likely will get in 2 morning hunts and 1 night hunt if weather permits. May sneak in another night hunt if trail cameras lead me to believe a hit list buck is showing up in daylight. Cameras will have been out for 2 weeks and hoping that there are no glitches or user error involved. All of my cameras were relocated last week to more suited locations (not strictly mineral sites/water) based on acorns and corn. Should be an exciting pull! After this upcoming weekend I won't get back out for another 2 weeks (October 18th) in which I will start hunting every weekend with a few personal days built in if needed on Mondays or Fridays to extend my weekend.
