Sorry boys and girl! I'm finally checking in, Clinton has been on my case... but we've had 20+ goat hunters in 15 days. So, here I am and checking in! Looking forward to another fun year :D

 

And that all of us! My first sit will be Saturday morning. I am very close to being ready. Screw on broad heads and wash my clothes is all I have left to do. I'm so ready for this!

Season starts on the 15th, so I might go out for a morning sit since it's on a Sunday, probably head over to the conservation area, but I doubt I'll be laying anything down unless a brute gives me a shot. I can't shoot a doe out there, so it will be strictly buck hunting.

 

Go get 'em Sticks. I won't be getting out till the first weekend of October and that still looks iffy. If I do get out then, it will be a full four day weekend though.

 

Pulled some cards and I have my first hard horned buck. The pic was taken 8/30. He's a 120 inch 8 pt.

Saw 10 file through at one time out of range of course.
It helped me connect the last piece to a nearly 4 year old puzzle of a travel rout I've been trying to figure out. Now I know one of the travel routs from start to finish through the property. This is big! I have a couple more to completely figure out as I have learned deer do not travel in a straight line through a property.

I should be putting a doe down soon.

 

I shot a lot this past weekend. My new arrows with wraps fly just the same as the ones without wraps out to 40 so there was no sight adjustment needed.
Sticks, your pic from the stand has got me pretty fired up.

Probably will on Sunday morning. My daughter has softball practice on Sunday evening, so no evening sit on opening morning.

 

I wish I could be out there.. still got 18 days

I'll be heading home but using trail cam pic/weather tomorrow to decide the weekend plans. May just film brother.
