Thanks man! I think I may be getting the hang of this hunting thing. So far all my bow kills and one of two rifle kills have came from my first sit in a stand.

My contributions are done as far as score goes. I hate I could have given more points. Now it's cheering on time for me.

You guys and gall, I know we can take this for a second year. I have faith if it can be done, we can do it! I of all people was able to give two deer to the score so I know we all can! now lets get out there and knock down some deer!

Even if we don't win though, I'll still be proud to have been a part of this team for 2 seasons! Good luck everyone and most of all have fun and be safe!

Congrats sticks and fly!!! You guys are rockin'!!

I'm in illinois now. I did pass on a 90"ish buck this morning. I have a limited time to hunt so I might regret that but it's just the first day. :)

Way to go sticks, Dunn and Flyguy. Good to see some bone hitting the ground.

I had some good hunts this weekend, but just haven't been able to get the right deer. I had a pretty big 6pt come into my decoy. He came in, ears laid back, hair standing up. He approached from the rear of the decoy, swung around and approached the decoy head on. He walked to within about 6 feet from the decoy, face to face. Eventually he just started to feed in the beans around the decoy. he was smaller than my decoy, so I guess he didn't wan't to tempt fate of getting his butt kicked. It was a pretty cool encounter, which I got on film. Just wish it had been one of my target bucks.

Looks like things are heating up for Team 10 again. Nice Work Fly and Sticks. When I heard my phone vibrate at 6:19am on a Sunday, I knew it was a "Buck Down" text. Glad to see it was from Sticks.
Christine, how many days do you get to hunt in IL before you head back out west?
Skywalker, how does the rut look up there in No MO? I'll be up this Friday - Monday. I plan to use my bow all weekend even though firearms starts on Saturday.

Will get out for a hunt or 2 this upcoming weekend. I'll be trying to get my brother on a stud and possibly harvest a doe. We haven't hunted since the morning of the 2nd. Happy hunting and be safe!

It's hard to say. I've seen some young bucks chasing but I haven't seen any does acting receptive yet. For some reason, I've yet to see any of my bigger bucks on their feet in daylight hours. Hopefully that will change this week. Traditionally, this is the week in my area. Killed my last two bucks on the 11th and the 16th. There have been some good deer hitting the ground in my area though.

Well maybe those lows in the teens last night and tonight will get 'em going for us. *fingers crossed* for this weekend.

Hopefully. Good luck to you. It's just been a really strange season for me. It took forever before I even say a buck from on stand, and the biggest I've seen was a 2.5 year old 8pt the probably went 110. I think I'm taking either Wednesday or Friday off to hunt, hopefully I can close the deal before rifle season starts on Saturday. If not, I'll have my bow with me while I'm filming my wife rifle hunt and if I can get a big boy within bow range. If so, I'll be taking him with the bow. My saving grace could be my 3.5 acres of standing soybeans. They are using it pretty hard and hopefully it will continue to pull does from the surrounding area, which should bring those bucks in too.

I'm not gonna be picky. If a 120" 8pt presents a shot to me this weekend, I'm launchin' an arrow. I only get out 3-4 weekends per year so I don't pass on much. LOL
