That's one of mine too. I'm picking up my first camera arm this week. I'm not going all high tech just yet though. Just a regular HD handy cam is all I can afford right now!

Same here. I have a HD handy cam type camcorder and bought one of those Muddy Micro mounts that will mount to a bow hanger. I also bought a Jackknife bow mount for my cell phone. I've been doing some testing w. this mount and so far I think it's going to work nicely. I also have a DSLR that takes great video that I will probably use when I'm hunting out of my blind. I have some friends that are part of a hunting video group that I may have a chance to hunt with too. Self filming is going to be a challenge, but just being able to review the shot and then to be able to share the moment with my family and friends will be very rewarding.

I think were all going to have an enjoyable season filled with lots of excitement and a wealth of knowledge gained.

So excited for hunting. 1 1/2 days here for me. Chances are I won't be putting the first does on the board for us group. I do things backwards in that I'll either be good for 190+ points or 0 as I shoot a buck then doe and I've never done otherwise. Its a far cry, however, I have some bucks that I'm after this year which are bigger then anything I've ever hunted before. I do have to note that I really want to get my brother a good archery buck this year and would love for him to get one early so he can concentrate on college and I can concentrate on solely my hunting. Regardless, of the seasons results I will enjoy me time in the woods and will try to due this great team justice. Happy Hunting!

Well gang, season doesn't start here in north Texas until the 29th.. But, I can say I have several diffrent groups of doe's coming into diffrent stand locations every morning and evening for the last month.. So I will guarantee a doe this year, should be the first outing or two but, it's hunting so you never know.. I havnt had any bucks on cam in a week or so, but that's ok.. Come the first through about the 20th of Nov. I always have all sorts of bucks lingering around.. Alot of which I never seem to have on camera so they must be coming off neighboring properties and far regions of the refuge... A big mature buck is never a guarantee but, I seem to always get a crack a one so only time will tell... Best of luck... I'm jealous of some teammates, wish I were in a tree.. Lol.... Goodluck, cant wait to here about the thrills and kills...

Hey Cap'n Stick, we're still "red" in the thread linked below. I think Fitz wants you to check in to let him know I've showed up and we have a full team.

Flyguy, did you pick that name because you are a fly fisherman? If so, where do you like to fish and what species do you target most? I'll chase after just about anything with a fly rod; warm or cold water. Missouri has some decent streams but I really like going after those little wild brookies and bows in the Smoky Mountains. I've only been fishing out west once, San Juan River in NE New Mexico. That was awesome. I've gotta get out there more often.

OK so it looks like everyone likes the avatar yet no one is using it... what's up with that??? :poke::lol:

Guys, I did something I usually don't do I moved a stand and plan in hunting it in the morning. We have a natural spring that runs the length of the property and the top 200yd drys up this time of year. I guess there is really 2 or 3 that come out of the ground along the way to feed it. Bak to the topic at hand. I found fresh hop prints in it and set up a stand tonight to hunt tomorrow. Like I said not something I usually do but, I have a really great feeling about this setup.

Good luck to everyone that hits bye woods tomorrow and be safe!!
