Only you can decided hoyt_64, you saw the sign... Must think after 24 hrs. It may be a lost cause due to predation. Merry Christmas all!

Am giving it a try this afternoon on public land. Been a while since I have been able to go. Hopefully a nice doe will give me a shot.

Got skunked tonight. Hard to believe snow on the ground, cold temps, standing soybeans and not on single deer came by to eat while I was out there. Might have had something to do with WWIII going on pretty close by. Apparently some folks got some now toys. Must have burned off 300plus rounds. That and the several packs of coyotes that were roaming near by. Oh well, at least I gave it a try.

Happy 2013 team, how is everyone? Seasons gonna end on the 6th here in Texas, so I guess I'm gonna start chasing big blue cats, and Crappie, then in a couple months I'll be gobbling it up... I sure enjoyed the snow we got over the holidays here in Texas as we don't see it much, and when we do it doesnt stay long.. Also, want to congratulate Ilwhitetail one his doe harvest, very nice.. And on behalf of the team want to thank him for getting that buck on the scoreboard.. I didn't know how this contest was gonna go since this was my first year to participate. I feel fortunate and privileged to have been part of Team 10 Knocked and Locked! Looks like we may bring home the gold... Well done team can't wait for next year...

My last two hunts went as I expected. No deer. It usually happens this way every year. The guns come out and the deer move at night. So, next year I will hunt hard to get it done earlier.

I have really enjoyed being on this team and of it all holds together, we may actually win this one. I wish I could have contributed more than my 50 points but, I am glad I was able to contribute.

Liwhitetail, thanks for getting those points posted. May have sealed the deal.

OK Nocked and Locked, I’m gonna give it one last try this season. I’ll be hunting Thursday afternoon, all day on Friday and Saturday morning (January 10-12). The forecast is not great. Light rain is forecasted for Thursday, warmer temps for Friday, and cooler temps with a chance of snow on Saturday. Even though we’ll have warmer temps on Friday the front moving in on Saturday may help things out.
The good news is; the neighbor said he has seen deer moving (bucks and does) on my dad’s land while he’s been out feeding cattle (early/late mornings).
If anyone has any late season tips, especially for northern MO, I’ll be happy to listen.

Is anyone else getting out this weekend? Will I be the last hunter in the woods for Team 10 this year?

I may try to steal an evening hunt later this week, or an AM hunt Saturday, but that's about it. I know I have some nice bucks out on my place, but I just haven't really had a chance to get out and hunt them this late season too much, and when I did it was a bust. As soon as the season is over, I'm going to get some corn on the ground and put a trail camera on it. I'm looking for a much better shed season this year than I had last year.

Good luck to anyone that's still getting out there.

We are trying to bro! We still have about 160 points not entered and a few others have some hunting time left this coming weekend. I hate I wasn't able to contribute a buck but, if we win, I will next season. Got a new piece to hunt that is pretty promising for 2013! Lets do this guys and gal!! Good luck to all who will be back at it this weekend!!!

Doing our best. Unless some teams are holding something back, I think we are in a good position. I'll be happy when Fitz updates and gets our additional 160ish points on the official scoreboard.

I've been hearing about deer already shedding up north, but im still getting plenty of bucks with both sides still on down here in N. Texas, what's the farthest south anyone's seen them shedding so far?
