If you need to tweak your sets Josh Keller that what you should do. Think about where you are seeing your movement and move in closer if it is consistently away from where your stand(s) are. Also may need to try something a little extra to draw that buck in. A decoy and/or an estrous drag line may be the trick this time of year.

Well team, clothes are going in the dryer, stand is ready to tote, meals are planned and I will be up around 4:00am to get my pre-hunt all day sit ritual started with a breakfast and coffee, pack my lunch and snacks and head out. New sight is sighted in and ready. I am hoping the rut or at least chasing has started. I'm hoping for a decent buck to add to the score card. Good luck if anyone else will be in the stand tomorrow.

Moving the set isnt really going to be beneficial - The wind sets up hard on this property - just a matter of time until one of them comes thru the 4 funnels im watching.

Sorry team i've got to vent a little, got a little situation going on... I have some folks messing with my game cameras, these people are coming in at night, checking my cams, erasing the pics, and then leaving my cameras off... I am grateful that they havnt been stolen so far but dang. This is my personal property that I own, I spend all year putting out food plots, my own blood sweat and tears, you know making food plots isn't cheap either... anyways, it starting to really heat up around here in N. Texas and people are screwing around with me... Idk what deer are coming in and what deer aren't. I could pull my cameras but then it's like these people win because I can no longer do what I want on my property... I could lock the cameras but then I'm sure they will know I'm on to them and then just steal my cameras... I have a job, and I can't just sit out all night every night trying to catch these folks in the act, plus I would hate to shoot a man over a camera... The local game warden suggested I use a bear trap if you can believe that... Any suggestions team, I feel as if I'm going to lose my mind and I'm letting these no goods get the best of me.

Try hanging a camera in the tree tops looking down. I did this last season. Had someone steeling stands. They didn't take the bait but, we tested it and it worked great. I used a climber to go up 25' or so. Mounted it lolling down and covered the indicator lights with electrical tape. I highly doubt they will have a climber with them if they are coming in to mess with your cams. If you can afford it, get one with the black flash. If nothing else, it will be hard for them to tell where the light is coming from when they have their face stuck in your cam getting the card. It may work.

Well team, I opted out this morning. The wind wasn't right for the stand I have been saving to hunt. Add to that 70 degree weather today and you have a not so great mixture. I came on in to work. I'll take Thursday or Friday for an all day sit. Low of 32 and 34 with a high of 50 both days and the backside of a front and a wind direction in my favor should put me in a great position.

Thursday is the day! I hear someone put down a nice buck today. Can't wait to see pic and the score. I'll let them share it. Just thought the ones that haven't heard may like knowing our team is still in this game.
