Well, another good morning in the stand. I saw one doe for sure but, once again out of range. I saw two more not sure if they were bucks or does. They were all traveling the same path so, tomorrow morning I will move in closer. I found a good tree that is about 14-16yd off that trail. If they take the same trail in the morning, there will be one less deer traveling that trail and one more on the score card.

Congrats to Skywalker, sounds like you got a good deal on a new toy, hope you have lots of fun testing it out. And great job Christine, nice doe... Keep putting brown on the ground knocked and locked.

Just saw a thread where Sticks stuck a doe! Can't wait to get the pics and story.

I'm going out this evening after work. Hope to catch one of my big boys.

Finally got it done! I thought it was a doe and the one I was after but, it wasn't. It was a button buck but, it's my first and he is on ice as we speak. I'm about to post a thread with the story! Those Rages leave a nasty hole at 295fps at 12yd!

Yep, Mine hit Rib, caught just a little of the spine, and blew through the far shoulder blade and out the rib on the other side in my doe at 17 yards. I think I'm shooting around 310fps w. about a 400 grain arrow out of my Centroid.

Congrats, I know how it feels to get so close, but not seal the deal for so long. I was in year 4 when I finally took my first with a bow. The second came much quicker :)

I'm hoping the second part is true! I'm ready to stick another one!

What lb are you shooting on that bow? Mines set at 65lb, 29" draw and 390gr arrow.

Congrats sticks that is a great accomplishment. I can still remember my first deer like it was yesterday. It was also a button buck.

On a side note I killed another big doe last night. The footage is great so I will post pics of her on the score card today if I get a chance at break.

    Congrats again STICKS

Sweet. We're really getting the does on the ground.

Question for you, as you might have seen I scored a XH1AS set up w. a 3rd arm and a bunch of accessories. What type of pack do you use to pack in the camera gear? Is it separate from you hunting pack? Since most of my work will probably be solo, I'd like to find a pack that has a camera section, and a separate area for my hunting gear. I haven't had much luck though.

    Official score card update.

Here is what I show us at to this point on our thread Vs. the official scorecard.

    Type Official Scorecard
    Flyguy415 50pts (Fergie) Buck Yes
    liwhitetail _______ Buck No
    Skywalker 50 pts Doe Yes
    BH.COM_Clinton 50 pts Doe No
    Christine 50 pts Doe Yes
    Sticknstrinarchery 50 pts Doe Yes

Sticks, I was thinking you might edit the original post in this thread and add this info in(or something similar). That way we can see how the team is progressing. Just a thought. I'm not sure what is going on w. liwhitetail not posting any info on the buck he shot here? I did a check to make sure he is still active on the forum and saw he posted yesterday. liwhitetail, where you at? :)

Sky, we use a horn hunter pack. I love this pack for two main reason. Tons of pockets and I love the tie down straps on the back. We use our pack one of two ways. If we have a smaller camera to film b role we put the camera in the back along with all of our camera supplies. Them we use the straps to secure the camera arm to the back. If we are filming b role we will put the arm inside the pack, camera man film son way in and then we strap our bow to the back. I have also starpped a lone wolf plus the arm to the back. the pack works great. WE have had our for 4 years your probably talking 500+ sits. Inside the pack we carry steps saws any type of calls we are using, tree umbrella, and anything elese you can think of that it takes to film.At times It weighs almost 60 lbs once we are loaded.

As soon as I get a chance I will. I just got home from a 15 hour shift. It may be tomorrow or Sunday before I can get to it though.

No rush, I was just trying to go over in my head how many we had taken down, so I went through the list and typed them out.

    Thanks.

I'm stealing a hunt this weekend! Wasn't thinking it would happen, but its all panning out. I will get out Saturday evening and Sunday morning! If it doesn't pan out this weekend it is on starting the following Friday. From October 26th through November 11th I will have 10 full days dedicated to strictly hunting! Best luck to those getting out in the timber this weekend!
