We have been hunting a few nights this week in the evenings. Went down to best food plot I have last night. We have been getting pics of a nice 155 10 in the day light. After getting everything in the blind and set up we noticed a dead doe laying under a hedge tree across the plot. At the end of the night we checked her out. Looked like a gut shot but could of been a hole from vultures. Who knows. Could off been blue tongue. The next couple nights look pretty good as far as the weather goes and we are going to some of our plots that we havent hunted yet.

Just found some NAP hellrazors on sale. They look pretty nice. I'm a die hard fixed blade shooter but have struggled getting my muzzys to group this year. Haven't found the right tune yet. Will see if these fly better. Sure like the cut on contact look of these heads. What does everyone feel about fixed vs. mechanical? What do you use and prefer? Who's trying something new this year?

I only shoot fixed blade, I am a true believer in muzzy 3 blade 100 gr. broadheads, I used to shoot mechanicles but I was losing too much kenetic energy and not getting complete pass throughs.

Just shot the hellrazors and they are all they are advertised to be. They feel so solid and fly well. I have to say...I've shot only muzzy 125 for over 10 years. I like these better.

I wish all the squirrel activity meant good deer movement...

First time back in the stand since I killed my doe. Hopefully this wind will for down and get the deer back on their feet. We've had thunderstorms and rain since Friday night. I figure they were on lock down the last couple days. Hope I'm right and one of the bid boys comes into bow range.

I had planned on being in stand this AM. Got a phone call from work last night informing me I was to be ready for a conference call at 9:00am. That kind of ruins a sit. I'm kind of glad though. It just started one massive thunderstorm that I feel sure has them bedded down. Maybe tomorrow.

I passed on an 5 by 3 eight point last night. Just not one of the deer I'm looking for. He probably only goes about 110". That was the only deer I saw last night, but he gave me a nice show for about an hour feeding out on the edge of my soybean plot.

Ok guys, and gal, we decided not to use my footage in last weeks show. therefore Im not going to post my doe kill. I would like to be able to post a link to the show. It will help it drive more traffic to the show. Anyways I will try to get another one in the upcoming weeks and then I will use it.

    I have deer cooties. :(

The lack of acorns, outbreak of EHD and my cooties have combined to make this one of my worst deer sighting years. There are a couple of other hunters who hunt the same property that are pretty frustrated right now too. (so I know it's not just me) I'll keep changing up spots until I start seeing does or until I run out of optimism. (probably the latter is more likely)

I did see three tom turkeys today. They were roosted in the oak tree next to me. Kinda freaked me out when they came flying/crashing to the ground. Can't shoot turkeys where I hunt so I just watched them.

Hope everyone else is seeing more!

Corn is coming off on the farm I hunted Sunday morning. Got two nice bucks I'm after there. Looks like I may have swindled a morning and a night hunt out of the upcoming weekend somehow. Brother will hunt it Thursday night. Hoping he can use the decoy as it is a classic setup! Good luck this week team.

I had to work later than I expected last night so I didn't make it up this morning. Tomorrow looks like another good morning though. I WILL be on stand in the morning no matter what!

Oh and I am really liking this texting from the stand. Some of you are missing out! Fun stuff! Good luck guys and gal, keep outing up the points!

I'm pretty stoked. I just scored a great deal for a complete deer hunting video setup on ebay. I got a Canon XHA1S w. a shotgun mic w. 3 batteries, a manfrotto tripod w. fluid head and remote, a 3rd arm tree arm w. a manfrotto head and zoom remote, a wireless mic, and a rain cover.

I had my heart set on a Sony HVR-Z5U, but there's no way I could have gotten it for the price I scored all this. It should have just about everything I need to get out there and produce semi-professional video. I can't wait to get my hands on it and start getting some quality footage.

    Congrats Christine!

I'm on stand right now. I'm hunting the Dugout. It's a small natural spring I dug out 2 springs ago. I've been watching signs of activity for a while now. I had a good feeling about it last night and this morning. Now that I'm here. Not so sure. Oh well, I'm stating put till 10 or I shoot a deer. Which ever comes first. Good luck to anyone else lucky enough to be out this cool morning!
