That's cool! I hope to see your video's soon. Do you have any episodes on Bow Hunt or Die right now? I'd like to check 'em out.

Lay them does down. I was so tempted last weekend, but obviously opted not to. I will get out saturday morning for my 1 and only hunt of the weekend. Then, I will not get to hunt for two weeks which will be the weekend of October 13th. My brother had a sighting with a buck at last night that we call Teens (He is in the teens in regards to points). He was coming out of woods on the edge of a property of ours and heading towards another property of ours while crossing the neighbors field.

Thanks Dunn and Hoyt I appreciate it. I love filming and I love the team aspect of it. We work really hard at it year round. Anytime that I respond to a question and use the word we I mean Frank and Myself. It takes a team to produce good videos and I absolutely hate that the outdoor industry doesn't promote that more. There is definitely way to many I's in the industry. With that being said I have been reading a lot of posts on the forums lately that say " thats not how they show it on TV or The outdoor shows do a bad job of showing that".

First off hunting is hard and should be something that you enjoy. People shouldn't base there season or methods off of just the way that people on TV or the internet do things. Hunting in my opinion is self taught. You can learn from there methods but there is always one thing to remember and thats time restraints. If it takes me 3 days to make a food plot and do it right we have to be able to figure out how to show it in 10 min. Thats just part of it.

I dont want anybody on the team to think Im better than anybody else or know more than the next guy. Ive been very fortunate in my life to grow up with a great dad and in a great deer hunting area and to have a couple good farms. I have worked my but off for the last ten years to make my farms what they are and thats why sometimes we get lucky and kill a good one.

Im a normal guy, My wife Emily stays at home with our boy ( Avery) and two girls ( Emerson and Hadley). I have been a union electrician for oberlander electric out of peoria IL for 11 years and thankfully they understand my passion.

I think we have as good as chance as any to win this thing. My only goal is to beat team 38 because thats the one that Frank is on.

I like the text Idea also. Mine is 309 two two four eight 4 0 four. just let me know who it is if you text

Wow! I had no idea! That’s awesome! I just started watching Bow Hunt or Die this season but I’m gonna go back and start watching season 2 and check out you and Frank. I can totally understand the “team aspect” of filming a hunt. For me setting down the bow to pick up a camera to film a buddy would be tough. However, getting/setting up that perfect shot (with the camera) and having my buddy do the same for me would be awesome. I can see how you get into it but I’m sure the commitment is great.

I can’t speak for the rest of the team but personally I’d love to hear some behind the scene stories, if you have the time and care to share. The type of stuff you mentioned that didn’t make the cut due to time restraints, funny stuff, the BS that goes on when the camera is off.

Had a pretty interesting night in the stand last night. Saw a pair of does by 5:30, then had one come in from down wind of me. She hung out behind my tree for about half an hour, but never stepped out. I think she picked up a whiff of something she didn't like, but couldn't figure it out. Then a little later, I had High & Tight at about 15 yards behind my stand. He presented a shot, but he's getting a pass this year. While I was watching him, "6" came out of the neighbors and worked his way across my beans. As light was fading High & Tight was still behind me and "6" was still feeding out in the been, plus I could hear other deer moving. I decided to wait to get down instead of spooking everything. Finally at about 8:10 I thought everything had moved on, so I started putting everything away. I had just unhooked the ratchet on my camera arm when a deer comes running through my food plot and stops at the mineral lick, which is about 10 yards from my stand. Eventually, I'm just covered up with deer and stuck in the tree. Pretty sure I would have been stuck there all night, so I started making hoot owl sounds and eventually they all moved on. I'm guessing there were 5 or 6 in the plot.

Things are looking promising so far this season. I just need to make the connection. On a side not, as I was sitting in the stand I realized that I actually hit a branch last weekend when I missed on that doe. It was a dead branch with no leaves, that's why I never saw it. It will be gone this weekend.:ninja:

    Here's High & Tight

Clinton & Dubbya(or anyone else that videos), What model camera are you using in the tree? I've been filming this year with a small handy cam, but I can tell I already love it and can't stand the short comings of the little handy cam. I've been doing a lot of research and the Canon XH A1s seems very popular, but I also really like the Sony HVR Z5U and from what I've read this camera handles low light situation very well. Anyway I go, I'll probably be looking on the used market for one.

Well team, I think rules state we have to enter our first buck don't they? I will wait for a responses before entering the one I got this morning. So I guess we are on the board. I really hate to enter this one cause I know I will get a much better one before seasons over. Anyway here in Texas we get 2 buck tags, one for a spike, and one that is 13" inside spread or greater. Guess which one I filled! Yup.. I got a lil guy, he has 3 pts. On one side one on the other...let me know what you think team.
