I spent the majority of my holiday weekend doing property maintenance, hanging/trimming stands, and moving cameras around. I'm definitely feeling it today, but hopefully it was all worth it when October gets here. I spent a lot of time getting stuff ready for my oldest son who will be hunting on his own this year finally. I had him climb up in all of the stands he's going to be hunting and get a look around, trim a few branches, etc.

I have a couple more trees that I need to visit and trim out, and one stand that needs to be moved and I'm done until October.

highs in low 60s and lows of 40 this weekend in central 'Sconnie...one week before season.
Of course next week for the opener it's supposed to be back up towards 80s and 60s.
...every. damn. year.

Oh well. Good scouting weather closer to home. Mrs. Noodles is gone this weekend, gonna make the most of it and channel my inner @virginiashadow and yak into some sloughs in IN.
