ImageUploadedByBowhunting.com Forums1454384987.987379.jpg hey guys been walking a ton lately. Only found a small dead buck. He was half frozen in. Went back got a shovel, and dug him out, and he was half shed, so I just cut this antler off. I think this is gonna be a good year around here. Some bone should be stacking up soon. Good luck everyone.

We are expecting 8-12 inches Tuesday so it'll bury a lot, not much help.

Haven't been out except just once the other day with nothing. Be heading out in next couple days though to check cams and will be looking then.

Getting ready to head out for little walk. Gonna check cams and hopefully come up with something. Hoping the ground is kinda froze up so I can cover more of the open ground we've got on a atv. Maybe not the best method but its pretty hard to go over 40 acre field in foot ha.

Good luck to anybody else and remember to check and make sure I've got everybody accounted for on the scores from the first post in this thread. Also I heard back from Crick explaining the situation with the replacement he gave us and sounds like he's gonna try and get us someone else if more sign up on alt list. So we may get another team member eventually.

Well only ended up finding the one shed.

And unfortunately found a set. Just not the way you really wanna find them.

Not sure what happened. Was far enough from the road don't think that's what caused him to die. So not sure if a neighbor shot him or something else. Haven't had any history of disease or finding any so who knows. Woulda been a nice one next year though so that sucks.

Yea I'm actually surprised I spotted the dead head. Was down in a draw behind a downed tree and just happened to see something sticking up. Thought it was part of the tree but closer I got could tell it was one side of antlers sticking up. Probably 60 yards away when first spotted it.

The guy I shed hunt with has a rule that has been long established between us. But today for the first time it was put into use. The guy who finds the first side gets the other side if someone finds it. He found the other side a week ago. Kinda disappointed that I can't keep it, but that's just the way it is sometimes I guess. It works both ways.

Got a msg from Crick and looks like we should be getting another team member. Not sure when but couple more signed up so should know before long.

Haven't been able to get out with the snow we got and it being pretty cold not sure I'd wanna walk around much anyway ha. Checked cams other day and looked like alot were still holding on to antlers. Good luck guys.

Was told you guys were the "un"lucky ones to grab me as an alternate! :D

No promises as I suck at luck in shed season but I will be putting some miles in no doubt!

Shoot this may just have to happen. Sunday afternoons ever open for you? I usually work one a month at the range and leave the rest open for deer work.
