had another crappy weekend very frustrating cant seem to get them into bow range ill be back at it again friday good luck you guys
Well with this cold front I'm sure the deer must be moving, but unfortunately I can't go until Sunday morning, when I get the crossbow back. Then it's on like Donkey Kong
Sat yesterday afternoon for 4 hours and saw one deer - a fork horn came down the ridge and walked right to my tree looking for the other buck that had grunted earlier. I got to watch him for a good 7 minutes before he finally wandered off. I'll be headed out to my Arkansas lease tomorrow around mid-day. It's about time for the action to begin around here.
At least you are seeing them!! That warm October weather we had has finally gone away.YES!!! It is only 42degrees right now in West Michigan.......man I would be in the stand right now but I am stuck at college for a night class from 6:00-9:50...sucks!! Tomorrow am should be a good one. Good Luck Heart Stoppers -SH
Putting in some stand time - just not having the sightings..... Things can change in a second, so just got to keep plugging away... Should make several sits this weekend - weather should be decent for hunting - sounds like it will be into the 20's tomorrow AM...
The deer are getting the best of me i am getting really frustrated its almost as if the deer are taunting me i had to cut more shooting lanes b/c they like walk around the ones i got
Ohh Finally whacked a doe last night got us some points posted the pics on the official score card post
Nice work!! Did a sit this morning and saw a lot of deer moving, just nothing in range and nothing that would have been a shooter anyway - but promising sign none the less...
This morning I didn't see a single deer, but this evening I had bucks runnin rampant but only got a look at one little guy. The big one came thru after shooting light (go figure) and all I saw was a giant body
Well fellas, that's it for my contribution to the team score. 127 2/8" total - including the doe. I really thought that buck was bigger than 77 2/8".
Guys, I'm about ready to give it up...Was out Sunday evening in my ground blind and some teen age kid walked about 100 yds across an open field because he was curious if that thing in the woods was a "hunting hut." Had a mountain biker 2 weeks ago ride right past me on private land and then argue with me when I explained that the public park district land was about 50 yds behind him, he left corrected. And last but not least, some A-hole anti hunter or pissed off neighbor has poured what appears to be liquid fabric softener around our stands on another piece of property. I have never been so frustrated with a hunting season as this year. MN rifle season opens Saturday, leaving Thursday morning and hunting Thurs and Fri. Sorry for the vent, hope I can add to the teams success this week...
Heading to the stand this am. Nice and cold!!!! around 30 degrees, and even better they were cutting the corn all last night!!! My property is going to be prime the next 12 days!! Shot my big boy On Nov 4th in the am last year, how about a day earlier this year ? Sounds good to me... Good luck to the rest of the team!!
damn man sorry to hear about that i swear some people just don't think. Don't give up it will pay off eventually got to keep going
That is a heck of a lot of points!!! Nice work LittleChief, that is a good buck! Do you have another buck tag in your state? Hey guys check out what USarmyMP laid down.......http://forums.bowhunting.com/showthread.php?t=17100 Congrats again!! What a heck of a buck. Looking forward to hearing the story.
Just in case you guys havent seen. I took a buck that grossed 146 6/8. I will post it in the score card in the next few days. Just glad I could help out the team this year.
