I start Saturday although I probably wont be hunting this Saturday, then I will have about 4 months to lay us some bone down with the stick. I think I can get it done, hopefully sooner than later.
Our team thread seems a little dead. It looks like two of the members havent checked in either. Also are we choosing a captain as well. As for me I will have a very limited amount of time to hunt. To be exact, October 26-November 7. Im taking leave to come back to the states to hunt. Ive been involved in the outdoors ever since I could tag along with my dad. Ive taken some good bucks as well. I dont have any pictures of any potential bucks, but from what my dad tells me we have about 10 potential deer that go around 140 or more. We have exclusive permission on several farms in Ohio. The past three years the smallest buck taken was around 130. I didnt get to hunt last year due to being overseas. I had just PCS'd in August so that put a damper on things.
I have to agree with you, our team page has been pretty dead!!! I will be hunting early anterless season this Thursday through Sunday. I know it won't put any points on the board but it sure will feel great to be in a stand once again. Have we decided on a team name? I could make a team avatar.
You're right brother.... our thread is a little dead. I'm not particularly fond of being the "captain" of anything so I'll leave that to someone else. I had enough of "leadership" in my 24 1/2 years in the Navy. I'd like to say that my hat's off to you for what you are doing right now. I have two kids on active duty in the Air Force now. One has seen two tours in Afghanistan and Iraq so far. The other is living it up in Vegas. (Go figure). I've got a new suggestion for a team name. How about "Head Hunters"? I just happened to see it as a hunting club name on the back window of an F-150 on the way home from work a day or two ago. As to the team captain - I'd suggest that we simply pick the person whose join date to this site is oldest and he's the cap'n. Whadda ya think?
Hey guys, After doing some thinkin and considering I think I may be able to hunt sooner than I originally thought. As far as Captain goes I'd be willing to unless someone else really wants the job. Another thing: in the past, the teams ive been on some of us shared cell numbers and facebook pages and whatnot to stay informed while on stand. It's always fun gettin a text or call from a teammate that they've got a deer down. if you guys are interested I can send out a pm and if you want to put on your number you can. catch ya later Ryan

well unfortunately my number right now is a korean number and i doubt anyones wants to pay that rate to send texts here. The facebook thing is a good idea. As far as captain goes, im ok with beagle doing it. Also for the team name it sounds like there are three options. 1. Whack N' Stack 2. Heart Stoppers 3. Head Hunters. I think if we choose a captain soon, just have them pm everyone, tell them to vote via post by a certain date and then count the votes.

Good looking out!! Just read the rules and you are correct, you are also allowed to enter one doe for 50 points!! I am going out tomorrow morning and sitting in a stand that I literally have does coming through every morning for the last two weeks besides for one morning according to my trailcam. I am really like my chances!! Wish me luck guys, its suppose to be crappy weather here in the AM so I hope the heavy rain misses West Michigan or at least lightens up. SH
