I will put a tape to him sometime this weekend while I am processing and get this buck officially entered. I may get out and try to get a doe tag or two filled also. Good luck to all of you!

I sat last evening with the intentions of filling a doe tag or two. My hunt got sidelined by this dude. I had 5 gobblers coming in and this coyote put a stalk on them and scared them off. I squeaked him in to 12 yards and gave him a Grim Reaper nap. It dropped him in his tracks. After that, all I saw was three bucks for the rest of the evening.

Hi guys, I finally got my buck scored and uploaded into the contest. He ended up going 151. We have not been home a lot the last few days because we had to put my wife's mother into Hospice. I know that most guys joke about how much they don't like their mother-in-laws, but mine has always been the most special lady you can imagine. She loves life and loved to have fun and enjoyed sharing her Johnny Walker with me. We traveled all over the globe with she and my late father-in-law. She has fought cancer for years and is getting tired. I would not wish what she is going through on my worst enemy. My hunting will likely be limited, but I do plan on sneaking out to get a doe or two yet when possible. Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving and best of luck in the woods.

    Thanks Tony.

I knew a few of the "old" guys would catch my homage to the late, great GregH!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I have been staying up on the lease for the past several days... cell service is very limited up there. I've had some good hunts with some close calls, I actually shot one but unfortunately I hit her in the brisket area and never was able to recover her. I don't think it hit anything lethal, the blood and arrow didn't look like it hit anything lethal. I'm headed back up there in the next few hours to give it another go for the weekend. Good luck gents... Hopefully something hits the ground soon.

I didn’t get a chance to score him before I dropped him off at the butcher. I’ll try to get it done by this weekend.. This team has some major killing to do if we want to be competitive this year

Update from me... I have yet to send another arrow at something. I hunt one spot they go to a different spot. I'm just playing cat and mouse with these little suckers! I'm taking a week off from deer hunting and heading out to the panhandle of Oklahoma with my family in search for some pheasants, quail, dove, anything in season that I can shoot. I'll be back in town by next Friday, but I work that weekend. It'll be a good break from the deer and hopefully I'll get refreshed and hunting a little smarter instead of just going through the motions and screwing up. I don't know how cell service will be out there but I'll continue to keep checking the forum when I get back to the Wi-Fi in the evenings. Good luck y'all!
