    Sweet bucks! What part of Iowa are you hunting?

    Not much exciting to report here on my IL farms. There are a couple of older deer around, but none of them are going to break 150" I don't think. And a few good up-and-comers that I'm not very interested in shooting. We'll see what hangs out and what shows up once October gets here.

    Beyond the doe and occasional buck strolling through. This one caught me by surprise. have seen them plenty of times on public just not behind my house on the farm.

    E35F44B8-A1FE-4CF1-A901-6FDD3ADF4416.jpeg Took the kids out for youth weekend with no luck. My oldest son saw a couple doe but no shot. Had a pretty cool encounter with a Barred Owl.

    Early doe season is next weekend. Not sure if I will get out. Have a lot around the house to get done. Need to shoot my bow a lot more as well.
