I check daily to see if anyone has connected but no luck so far. Not sure if I will get out again, lot's of family obligations this time of year.

Same here! I'm off work starting Thursday and was planning on hunting but I'll probably sit it out if the snow is too bad. Sat and Sun are both out of the equation obviously, and the week after Christmas I'm planning on hanging out w/Dustin and hopefully film him shoot something down at Clinton's place.

My buddy killed the one I almost killed a week ago. This deer is 8 years old and over the last couple of seasons we’ve both been within feet of killing him. It just seemed like we always needed one more step or a zig when he zagged. Last night he finally slipped up and that’s all she wrote.

Still have three other shooters on that farm so it’s not over yet!

Well boys, it's starting to look like another buckless season for me, but not for a lack of trying! I've lost track but I must have over 125 hours in a stand/blind/saddle this year. I just can't seem to pick the right spot for some reason, and without having a good late-season food source or cold temps, it's gonna take a miracle to make something happen in the next two weeks. Especially since I haven't had a picture of a shooter on any of my 3 hunting properties in almost a month now. Tough to kill them when they aren't there.

But it's not over yet! I'm going to grind it out until the bitter end.

I'm giving it one last go this weekend, I'm taking another doe if I see one. The odd's of running into a buck this weekend on our property are very low.

I hunted both Sat and Sun evenings and did not see a single deer either sit. The Deer Gods are not smiling on me this year.

I'm off to Indy for the ATA show Tues-Friday and should be home in time to hunt at least one afternoon next weekend. I'm ready to send the 2022 season off with a big middle finger at this point. Let the suffering end!

Well my season is officially over. I did see one deer, a really nice buck but he was 400yrds away on another persons property. Have fun in Indy Justin, get an old fashion at Weber Grill, you will thank me later.

Weber is okay, but I prefer Yard House. Food is great and lots of beers to pick from. If I can con everyone to go to St Elmos I'd like to do that as well.

Well I survived ATA and did hunt on Saturday evening but I only saw 1 small buck and a couple does. I decided that was it for me and pulled the plug on Sunday afternoon. I don't know how many sits and hours I put into a tree this year, but it was a LOT, and I was simply ready for it to be over. Sorry I couldn't contribute more points!

Next season begins now. Time to start doing some scouting and stand prep for October. Eating tag soup is not fun.
